  1. Tri-service operations have nothing to do with who is 'Top Dog' with soldiers on the ground (although I am aware that such snobbery exist at certain Command levels). NI was seen by some as a 'training arena' for the Army to hone it's operational tactics. I believe the RAF look similarly at the garrison on Mount Pleasant - they all want their slice of the pie - but it actually means very little to the guy on the front line. In recent operations (last 30 years) the Army has provided the majority of front line personnel - and ground warfare has been totally unavoidable. I have done NI, the FI, the Gulf and Bosnia - as was the politicians bidding. If we are now saying we can conduct the same such operations without the need for ground forces then I would be sceptical at best but bloody happy. If we are saying that we are never ever going to enter into such operational situations in the future - again I would be very sceptical. As I say - the Navy can be the Top Dog - but to the soldier on the ground he really doesn't give a flying fuk, personally now I would much rather they stay at home. (Unfortunately though, I don't think it's going to work out like that for very long).
  2. The article is actually a very sad inditement of how the government have shafted the Army. But as someone who has recently served over 25 years I would actually be quite pleased if the lads were bought out of the forces front line. They have been there for far too long and now its beginning to take its toll. Operational deployments have been at an all time high, yet massive cuts have been made. Get them all home I say, they deserve a break. Sent from my HTC One S using Tapatalk 4
  3. I don't think it would make a blind bit of difference to him. I think you need to understand the hierarchy of posters that have developed on this forum. Sent from my HTC One S using Tapatalk 4
  4. Might have had a mare, but lesser players would have found it easy to hide. He hasn't, and for that I've been pretty impressed with him. Sent from my HTC One S using Tapatalk 4
  5. If WHam are really that gash - how is it we never took them apart - we were at home, with the red army behind us, playing a gash team and we failed to win - we even failed to score. I think the truth is that we are both pretty average teams really. We may have shown a little more than them but then again - you would hope that would be the case being at home. BFS really has got them hoofing it - the old and bold at WHU must be cringing having to watch that dross every week. Really think it is time to drop all talk of Champions League now - Sky presenters and BBC are referring to it and it's more than a little bit embarrassing - we are nowhere near that level. As somebody else said on a different thread - let's try and get our 40 points first - judging by our early games that might take us some time. FWIW I thought we looked pretty comfortable at the back today, but showed little craft in the middle and up front to really unlock them. If we can't unlock dross at home then we are likely to struggle to improve upon last season.
  6. Jan Tomaswepski or whatever his bloody name is..... couldn't name you any other Polish player..... but he is forever ingrained...... bloody awful night...... The Clown..... never again....
  7. Really, you think so..... Really can't see why that would be the case. Good first half from him, no worse than most others in the second. Sent from my HTC One S using Tapatalk 4
  8. I think that it's true to say for most of the few that, 'the corks have popped before the pennies dropped...!' I was one who thought that this thread should be closed - but seeing the 'HP agreement' that they have to furnish, I guess it's going to be a few pages yet before a Mod presses the button.
  9. Your right - didn't realise that they currently get about 25k. With this: http://www.fulhamfc.com/stadium-development/design-concept/architecture Very nice as it is - it only increases capacity by 5k. Obviously there will be other benefits - apartments, retail outlets etc, but in terms of bums on seats it does look a little limited.
  10. Neil Shipperly - tried hard, was pants. Jeff Kenna - tried hard, was good. David Armstrong - class. Sent from my HTC One S using Tapatalk 4
  11. To be fair this is probably the much more likely scenario for us anyway, I'm not sure that we will be fighting for survival - but I think we will be closer to the bottom than the top. 2nd season, teams will know that we are decent, points will be harder to come by. Slow progress in this League - consolidation is where we need to be aiming a la Stoke.
  12. The simple facts are we are much more likely to be battling relegation than battling for a European place. If we come in mid table, 10th - 17th then job done. Progress in this league will take a lot, lot longer than in the Championship or League 1. Consolidation over the next 5 or 6 years in this league is good enough (and probably much more realistic) for me.
  13. Massively gutting actually......
  14. Ahhhhh, you've made acquaintances with Turkish then.... Don't worry about it John - you are nought but a 'mong' or 'din' on most threads unless you tow the party line. Good reply btw - the only problem is that his heavies will be along in a minute to kick you in the bollux while you are down - enjoy....!!!!
  15. The only London club that we will finish above will be Palace. Sent from my HTC One S using Tapatalk 4
  16. So are we saying that we won't be winning the European Cup next year. Gutted... Sent from my HTC One S using Tapatalk 4

  18. Unfortunately "Badge", (you don't mind me calling you "Badge" do you, makes us sound like real buddies...) Once the forum playground crew get in there, lots of threads go the same way. Don't think Sue had a chance of keeping this one on track once a certain member saw her in the playground - not a hope. On the bright side, only another five hours til the football starts - perhaps things on here will start to improve once we have more to talk about. P.S. Shortening Micky to Mick doesn't have the same "matey" ring to it. Maybe we should consider using a few "yo's" or "init's" for effect....! Sent from my HTC One S using Tapatalk 2
  19. TBH - had we actually given him a fairy 'tail' I think he would've been off to Liverpool pretty damn quickly....!
  20. Carlsberg don't do England debuts, but if they did..... Sent from my HTC One S using Tapatalk 2
  21. Let's face it if he never plays for England again he couldn't have had a better fifteen minutes of fame. Well done Rickie. Sent from my HTC One S using Tapatalk 2

The subject does not upset me - not one iota - death is the only certainty in life. Your twisted, warped and evil misrepresentations, lies and untruths of the events of that day, do. HTH.

This - a thousand times over. The crass insensitivity is totally and utterly beyond all belief - this site really has hit the depths of the gutter.
  25. Well fuk my old boots, the thread that was started to highlight the trolling and overbearing antics of the forum WUM's degenerates into chaos caused by trolls and WUM's. Would never have guessed it.
