  1. I like Pelle but I don't think this is the game for him. With Mane and Long up top, it's a good "out", keeps the Gunners on their toes and we're quicker on the break without him.
  2. I think I'm ready to admit that without Forster tonight, we'd be losing comfortably.
  3. long shot but... anyone got a spare!?!
  4. long shot but... anyone got a spare!?!
  5. Roma (been once), Terek Grozny (won me a lot of money once and a quirky team to follow) and going to Dortmund in March, which I'm immensely looking forward to.
  6. Disgustingly overrated and sh1t attitude. Obviously fancies himself as a big time player, yet only Stoke and Newcastle have bid for him. Big ahahahahaha.
  7. Therein lies the problem. Probably has a few half-decent drills but all in all, not good enough.
  8. Really? I heard the same.
  9. Crook banned me from his Twitter just before Wanyama signed but not before he told me I didn't know what I was talking about. I just politely insinuated that he was talking rubbish and that Wanyama was signing. I'll always remember the hoards of Southampton fans who agreed with him and abused me
  10. This is fantastic news absolutely brilliant
  11. Said Rowett a while ago. Sampaoli would be incredible. Macro Silva a good shout too.
  12. Btw... The board should acknowledge they've recruited crap and properly back Koeman. If that doesn't work then go another route but he really wasn't backed properly in the summer.
  13. Same here about Adkins. Beautiful patterns of play. Given a half decent squad of attacking players and he'd produce a helluva an exciting team to watch. I remember everyone masturbating over the 0-0 v Everton in Poch's first game and I said on here I wasn't that impressed at all, seemed like we'd lost our fizz. Poch's style, obviously, wasn't as exciting in an attacking sense but more in a defensive way... But I missed the Adkins triangles!
  14. Caulker. WTF. Utterly terrible. Embarrassing.
  15. That did amuse me, I love that they actually named them as well. If I read it right though, doesn't it say 30m euros? :scared: I assume we made Dejan Lovren a non-refundable purchase then
  16. James Corden, a million times over. Just the unfunny fat bloke down the pub who everyone tries to avoid.
  17. I see the Old Wykehamists won 5-0 against Uxbridge. Get in.
  18. And there he is.
  19. I reckon it's like watching a League One keeper sometimes, yes. Potential? He's 27, I don't think he'll get much better if I'm honest as he's now entering his prime but still struggles with a lot of the basics; whereas Stekelenburg is far, far more polished and could do everything that Forster can't do and do it well. For me, there's better Championship keepers than Forster; Marshall, Heaton, McGregor, Smithies, Martin etc...
  20. Errr, I did say those things AND I did mention that the defence also had to take a huge amount of credit, not just Forster. Check the posts. I'm not going to gracefully back down either... Why? Because I genuinely don't think he's very good.
  21. Which is what I was saying last season to the Forster lovers, but apparently it had little to do with the defence. How things have changed, then,
  22. I'd argue it, obviously...though The9 has pretty much comprehensively summed up my views above so I won't regurgitate it. If we're going on stats, Stekelenburg has the joint highest clean sheets total fwiw
  23. I really wouldn't read too much into those stats, especially if you look back at all the goals that we've conceded this season - you won't find much wrong with Stekelenburg's contributions. Streets ahead of FF and our defence looks far more assured and comfortable with him between the posts.
