We were as open and messy last week as well.

Yep, it's obvious we haven't (yet) replaced with players of equivalent quality.

The Schneiderlin screen and Alderweireld shield has well and truly gone. We look half decent going forward, but we will not repeat last seasons feats with our current squad. We're WBA level at the moment. As I've said previous, Alderweireld- quality CB and composed, hardworking DM of good quality (won't be Schneiderlin quality, no-one is) and we'll be ok. Feel a bit sorry for the likes Stekelenburg... Forster had it easy last year compared.

Fonte has been immense for us, there is absolutely no way we should sell him to make room for van dijk as captain. Would much rather we went elsewhere then unsettle our most consistent and important performer.

Paul Clement will be terrible, I was saying that to a mate when he was appointed. Early doors, but I honestly believe he will be.

100% the supporters put on a show for the cameras (constant nernernerner'ing) as they used to in the prem. then they'll go on about how great they are for years to come. Even if there is only 7,000 there they'll say 20,000 or if not, that 7,000 made far more noise than any other club in world football. I guarantee that.

Hahaha. But seriously, Forster doesn't have his command, presence and if you ever watch any Forster highlight, he's a more "in the way of the shot because I'm massive" goalkeeper, not because he's actually read the situation and reacted to it. Well, as long as it doesn't go in I suppose...

Depends on how seriously you took my comment. Plenty of people on here like to perceive it how they want to, then, at later stages, use it as some sort of weird bullying interweb stick to beat you with.

Yeah I honestly believe that, as I'm often mocked about on here. Stekelenburg is by far the more complete goalkeeper who doesn't share any of the weaknesses Forster has.

Miles better than Forster, as he'll prove this season.

Oh god no, mine would Dragovic and Gonalons. Maybe also a cheeky £2.5m bid for Lovren on the penultimate day to the window closing, and as Dejan's head gets closer to Southampton as the bid goes up and up, pull out. Don't think VVD will be quite good enough for where we want to be but that said, Wanyama developed well, so... The CDM at Sevilla I mentioned above I've never seen play so I can't comment on him but Gonalons I have... good, combative, hardworking midfielder, can pass, very composed, chips in with a couple of goals every now and then... sound like anyone familiar?!?

Think I'll just reiterate this again. That said, looks like my choice of CB won't be happening.

Mitrovic anytime would be a good bet right now.

A composed, strong, mindful midfielder would go a long, long way to addressing our current problem(s), not loads of players that go 1000mph
