It a between us and United, if the run ins are anything to go by. Spurs and Liverpool still have Chelsea, city to play when they'll be gunning for the title so can see dropped points there. Arsenal always liable to slip up but have easiest run in, followed by ours. We've got Chelsea away and City away but by the time we play City, it may very well be dead rubber for them....

I'll stop when the bully boys stop.

well if not in this game, it'll be in others, guaranteed.

So important, no room for error with arsenal, man u playing easier games and Liverpool and spurs facing off.

Clarke Carlisle admits he tried to kill himself
Crab Lungs replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Lounge
Btw, from a psychological point of view, it seems Clarke has voids he needs to fill in his life, not just because of the demons he has but also he incessant need to help others, or be seen to be helping others. -
Clarke Carlisle admits he tried to kill himself

Totally agree with Ralph - and this is coming from someone who had suffered depression before. There's no one-size-fits-all solution to depression, sadly, as I found out. However, from my own personal experience , there has to come a time when you make the choice yourself to get better.... Not wait around for meds or counsellors to offer the solution. At the end of the day, its your head and no amount of rebalancing the chemicals or cajoling by a stranger will fix it entirely. That step has to come from the sufferer. The best thing Clarke could do is stabilise his mind set and whilst be aware of depression, mental health issues etc - don't consume himself with the subject by going on another charitable crusade. I don't think constantly being around it, talking about it is really doing him any favours as it serves as a constant reminder. He'll need support but there comes a time when you've got to step up and help yourself, too. I think that time has come. -
Them, United, Arsenal, Spurs.. hope they do really, really, really well and have lot's of games and extra time and bookings... but fall at the last hurdle!
-
Would prefer they went through and had more games...

And this is it, sadly. People prefer not to see that though and trundle out the fact that we're still doing fine or that our clean sheet record is great so he must be doing a great job. Well, he's not. He's been at best, average. It's not scapegoating, its legitimate criticism. He's miles away from Boruc in many many attributes and facets. He had two major things to do today and he screwed up both, one almost hugely. If we're lucky, we get away with it. if we're not, it gets highlighted. Either way, our superb defensive displays have masked his huge deficiencies and will continue to do so I expect.

He had two things to do all game. Outfield players culpable for missing their chances but the goalkeeper should have done better.
-
In a lot of aspects of his game, yes
-
Late reaction, soft hand. he has had 2 things to do all game and has screwed both of them up
-
One goal and they'll fold. They look stunningly fragile

Sick buckets at the ready if you hadn't seen this before... They really do suck themselves off, don't they?

Classy player, classy footballer. Good luck Jack, you deserve it.
-
Henderson is utter toilet, Delph ppossibly has a bit about him and Colback is bloody average. Losing a decent player imo but oh well nothing we can do.
-
He's been lifting, brah
-
Already happening. No doubt Reed has show potential, but Cork is far from a run-of-the-mill Premier League footballer. He's a bloody decent footballer, in fact. As I said previous, far, far better than his other English counterparts who have caps (Henderson, Delph, Colback) and huge swathes of supposedly better foreign talent. Him or Ander Herrera? ...

Well, I appreciate Chester's write up and gracious comments towards us. Wish them all the best. -
No doubt Morgan and Wanyama are first choice but how about a little fore thought for the summer? We might lose one or both of them and he'll be good to have around if th st happens. Never really let us down and finding an understated quality footballer like Cork would be very difficult. He's better than any other English options out there - Colback, Delph, Henderson etc.
-
Amazing to see Jack is now rated as surplus by many on here. Quite a few had him in front of wanyama before the season started. And now he's fallen behind Reed and Ward Prowse too. Still our third best midfielder imo
