  1. City fans are possibly the most mangiest in football after the Skates so I'm not surprised they baulked at the prices. Hypocrisy as Tokyo says anyway considering there prices.
  2. West Ham have a difficult run soon so they might start to feel the heat s bit soon. Reading will ne chipping away at us all season and it will be annoying but if we can somehow get 3-4 points over the next 3-4 games it won't be a disaster. You're right there alpine, the other teams do have some testing fixtures upcoming, we've done well to be a slight bit of breathing space between us and them.
  3. Try...
  4. There's every chance I can be outdone. Those were good days, heady days... regular email conversations with Keith about my banning, PM's from Pav, Baj telling me to behave. Oh, those were the days! Of course, the trick was to post a fictitious title, i.e. "Britney Spears' bappage!" - that would lure the "victim" in. Once clicked, the pictured displayed won't be as promised, as you well know - it'd in fact be a horrendous meme from the internet underworld. You'd wait for the replies and then you'd jump in, change the picture to something completely unrelated and then ask what all the fuss was about with the aghast responses. You were fooked if someone replied with a quote though
  5. I'm outraged you'd even say such a thing. Would I.... would I!
  6. I don't remember Tubgirl.
  7. What sort of fan would get angry if a footballer won the lottery? Who gives a billy ballbag, really? Enjoy the money, whoever it is.
  8. A moment of weakness, I suppose. Just reading it irritated me so much I felt obligated to write back
  9. Why do you bother supporting Southampton, or any team for that matter? You do nothing but moan, it's absolutely pointless. 20% at best is justifiable, the rest of what you bang on about is either nit-picking or utterly, utterly pointless. There's some good things, some bad things. It's not all doom and gloom. Just because someone is reflecting on the past 3 years and how far we've come doesn't mean they'd happily be pleased with battling losses - no-one is. I'm not saying it's just you but a lot of people on here need a sense of perspective. The optimism/pessimism pendulum always swings pretty wildly after any result over the past few months and sometimes it might be a good thing to remember just how far we've come. It just seems to me that at Saints, even of the past 10-15 years, there's a lot of people who want everything to happen IMMEDIATELY and won't take steady progress as a positive. THEY WANT SUCCESS NOW AND NOTHING LESS WILL DO. Well, it'd be nice if we could save all the whining, *****ing and moaning until the end of the season as it's completely counter productive. Are we going backwards? No. Are we standing still? No. Are we tentatively going forward? Yes. I'm not advocating anyone disregarding the negatives, that'd be foolish - but for k'sake, we've done a lot more right than we have wrong this year and the players, staff and 98% of the supporters should be proud of how far we've come - and continue to progress.
  10. This thread is the perfect example as to why this is fast becoming the quickest-growing #mongboard on the planet.
  11. Oh dear, just when I thought I'd give you a nod for facing up you go and make yourself look an even bigger special case with this.
  12. There's definitely a bit of Rickie Lambert about him...
  13. I do agree, no point in bloating the squad out on players that wouldn't improve it. That's why I'd rather have one or two quality players over four or five so-so players. And ffs, hurry up Astori before Seaborne gets a look in
  14. On second thoughts, I might not be. This could take a while.
  15. The reason why we've won more games than the likes of QPR, Reading is because we've got players like Lallana, Ramirez etc. No need to fill your entire team up with Leigertwood's and Derry's... and especially not a Joey Barton.
  16. Great response. As is this.
  17. I suppose Luis Suarez is "controversial" most weeks :-/
  18. Just a quickie. I try not to be much of a whinger and have a persecution complex but I thought this was a bit out of order; Is that not a bit strong, or do I detect some ill-feeling in the comment?
  19. Better than my effort
  20. Well, I doubt he could have done it himself with a dislocated shoulder, assuming he's not ambidextrous
  21. Easy three points.
  22. And fair play to MLT for coming online and ever-so-slightly reversing his stance. I think Boruc will prove why he's an excellent GK over the next few weeks.
  23. I certainly would feel aggrieved if we'd lost to that. Having said that, I think Rodriguez was saying it wasn't a foul in the footage, maybe it'll become clearer later. Apart from a Villa spell from around 70-90 mins, we deserved to win it.
  24. Superb display after being wobbly at home. Now, at home, we need to back him. Absolutely mountainous in more ways than one. BACK ARTUR "SAFE HANDS" BORUC
