I've let the whole Boruc issue ride for months but now it is grating with me. He is a very good, international class keeper and he simply has to be play. We can afford no more experiments (Gazzaniga) or back-to-the-future selections (Davis). We've already seen us drop points because of goalkeeping foul-up's and it'll be f()cking grating if that's a huge contributory factor to being relegated. This situation isn't a difficult one to work out... play the best man for the job and that's Boruc. It's not a head scratcher and it doesn't warrant multiple pages IMO. Our fans have been superb this year but they need to get over the whole bottle-throwing incident and stop lamenting our own players, especially on their home debut.

So being booed and jeered by your own fans on your home debut had nothing to do with his reaction? Our fans can be awesome, especially away, but at home, we're sometimes right ****s. Boruc was regarded as one of the best in the world, he should be given an opportunity with us.

Last time we went away and "had" to win, we did. Lambert will have them fired up for this one so... and hard works beats talent if talent doesn't work hard, so we have to match them. Make no mistake though, they're a f()cking terrible outfit.

Guly isn't totally to blame.. other players had ample enough opportunity to put the game to bed but didn't... and Adkins decision to go all defensive just invited them onto us. Still, a point is decent but I feel gutted than we didn't get all three. Fantastic support from the fans AGAIN

Superb centre half, watched him a number of times as well summer target Biyik. I'd prefer Biyik as he's a complete man mountain but Astori is also a superb alternative. He's more than just a stopper, he's also not bad with the ball too.

Has anyone watched much of it this year? Due to my betting, I've managed to take in quite a few games and have to say, thoroughly enjoyed it... especially Roma under Zeman, wow. Anyway, has anyone ever been to an Italian football match (in particular, Roma) and can they recommend any places to stay/go to in Rome? Thinking about going out there for either the Inter or Cagliari game. Ta in advance!
