  1. A colossal waste of time. As predicted.
  2. Having been to a few before and not my learnt my lesson until now, I’m very well placed to make assumptions on what it will be like. And if I’m wrong, my predictions above can be scrutinised justifiably. On another note, some people on here are probably justified in their beliefs that they are more worldly, superior and knowledgeable...because they are. It’s probably a 60/40 dinny melt split on here
  3. Yep. Terrible, doesn’t run fast/hard enough.
  4. Ditto the last bit.... it’s the personnel used that impacts the way we play, not the formation (well not completely - it’s how you utilise it)
  5. Oh and I think it's pretty f()kkin poor our owner, who was there Saturday, won't be there. A real opportunity to outline your intentions after approximately a year of owning the club.
  6. I like this lineup. Get rid of Hoedt. Absolutely sh1te.
  7. A few predictions for tomorrow; - Ralph will offer up strange platitudes and weird-speak on locker rooms and rosters. He will also take all the difficult questions (if asked) and go off on a tangent from what was originally asked. - Reed will bewitch with corporate mumbo-jumbo and will take any opportunity to link any successes in recent times indirectly back to him. - The player will be dull, dull, dull. - Hughes will be the only one worth listening to but will be guarded and won't give much away (but if you listen carefully, he will). It'll mostly be a season-ticket **** measuring contest between dweebs. The majority of the questions will concern things like concourse facilities and red felt around the pitch. We won't get any closer to what Gao's intentions are, why Forster was given extension after extension despite being horrendously sh1t, why Pellegrino was given almost a full season despite being sh1t and why he was given £20m to spunk on Carillo. There will be no accountability by Reed or Wilson for our recent poor recruitment of playing and coaching staff. There will be no accountability for any of the big stuff. None. A few weirdos will meet Reed etc and come back on here, starry-eyed and will tell everyone how "nice" and "genuine" they are despite riding roughshod and presiding over two years of pretty amateur decision-making.
  8. Seriously wtf is this? Our fans ffs
  9. It’s the sad truth but the saps will have the floor more than likely. Still, be a nice easy ride for the turds behind the table if that proves to be the case.
  10. Martinez and Henry? Thatll be a mess. Looking forward to Vieira being absolutely cr4p for Nice too. Massive hullabaloo over him for nothing, really. Just realised I just rubbished Henry and Vieira... I’m not racist btw, I like Chris Hughton
  11. So they’ve let him spend £100m then within a couple of weeks, they’ll sack him? What is wrong with football? Fukkin hell
  12. Hoedt is by far the worst defender we have. Stephens will probably never cut it as a CB in the PL but is quite a cultured footballer so could probably transfer some of those skills successfully to another role. Bednarek done well last year being thrown in but in pre season has been awful.... but nowhere near as bad as Hoedt. That bloke is abysmal. Still don’t get what people see in him. Then again, many thought Forster was useful
  13. Gonna talk about the team that finished the game, not started it; McCarthy - Absolutely love having a safe pair of hands in goal. Stephens - Much better a right-back than Cedric in this game, would love to see him play in DM though. Not much of a CB but still quite a cultured footballer. Hoedt - I never want to see him play for Saints again. Vestergaard - Very impressed. Felt sorry for him bailing (mainly Hoedt) out. Distribution not bad either. Bertrand - Seems happier at LB than LWB. Irrespective of however he plays, he is one of the few players we have left of genuine class. Lemina - Clearly a classy player, would love to have seen him alongside a Scheiderlin/Wanyama. Romeu - Ever so meh about him now. Elyenoussi - Seems a slick operator. Look forward to seeing more of him. Redmond - Came alive after the subs/formation change; looked a genuine threat running at people. Ings - Lively, can't wait for him to have a couple of genuine chances created for him. For all his injuries, looks very fresh and sharp. Good leap on him too. Gabbadini - One good chance, would love to start him alongside the other attacking quartet we finished with. Same again at Everton with the exception of Hoedt starting. He should be banished from professional football. Yoshida to replace please.
  14. Redmond looking a bit like a Man City Raheem Sterling
  15. Yeah, he does remind me a bit of him. Ings is impish, great leap on him and if he gets the chance, good finisher. Like Shane Long with shooting boots and a first touch.
  16. Much better. Stephens actually looking half-decent at RB (would rather they played him as a DM though). The less of Hoedt is in the game, the better. As this testifies.
  17. For those who think we are going to get better and it will all click into place, it will not. This is years worth of poor recruitment, downgrading... it will likely take more than a window to sort out. By then, I genuinely wouldn't be surprised if our remaining quality players have gone. Doesn't help when we're purposefully shooting ourselves in the foot by playing Hoedt. Bertrand and Vestergaard continually bailing him out. Then again, it's been like that ever since we signed the useless ****
  18. why the effin ****tin hell are we sat back holding on in our own half against Burnley. This is fukkin disgraceful really #believeINsaints #wemarchon
  19. Those who believe Hoedt is young, therefore guaranteed to improve.
  20. Remember - our recruitment is the envy of the entire world and we probably have the best options of midfielders in the league. Remember those comments. Remember them.
  21. This.
  22. Bring Morgan back....
  23. I 100% guarantee that we will be a much better team when Hoedt isn't in the side. Crystalize that comment, seriously. Only way to find that out though is for Hughes to get rid of the useless turd. Please, Sparky... Oh and Lemina, as talented as he is, does not offer what we need in a midfielder. Isn't helped alongside a the cr4ppest version of Oriel Romeu I've seen. If only we had a Wanyama who'd let ML go ahead and play..
  24. We're so poor that we get overjoyed about a player unspectacularly dribbling into opposition players and losing the ball but gaining 20 yards.
  25. Surely, surely... if so many people can see it, then so can Hughes? Only reason I can think of to play 3 CB's at home is the possible Burnley aerial threat. Doing that makes us completely impotent, launching counter attacks from the edge of our own box that break down on the half-way line or until Redmond finishes cropcircling.
