  1. Nice to see their fans behaving as always.
  2. 3-1 Leicester.
  3. He’ll be more than that come the end of the season.
  4. Alongside a capable, dominant centre half - not bad. Alongside a slow, cumbersome, error prone Dutch Aaron Martin, not so much. Looked OK alongside Yoshida for latter part of last season, bearing in mind he'd just been thrown in to Prem football. Really don't think he's the worst of the current two - not by a long chalk.
  5. I don't think Alex Neil would be a bad shout and regrettably, Nigel Pearson too. Extra shout outs to Chris Hughton, Mick McCarthy (if available - would never be a 'first choice' but I think we have to look at proven promo experts). Mark Hughes ideally though. Definitely worth a crack... proven Prem manager, though the Champ is a different thing altogether. Adkins for nostalgia reasons... could he do it again? Would he? Actually... where's Billy Davies gone?
  6. Repeated over and over again today "a true gentleman". Have to say, it's a similar kind of feeling for me when Sir Bobby Robson passed. RIP, Ray.
  7. Yes, imagine where we'd have come with a competent goalkeeper... you ****.
  8. Haven’t we done well? Bravo Kat and her team.
  9. Why not? Everyone was convinced he was the best in England not too long back. It was only a loss of form/injury/still carrying an injury/loss of form again/loss of confidence/still injured/loss of form that prevented him from getting back to his very best. Nothing to do with the fact he’s utterly sh1t and always has been. Definitely not.
  10. That is classic. Invest in local teams to gain exposure. Give exposure to rival club in the same league. Genius.
  11. Multiple things at the same time? Ralph can’t even get his head around 5 simple sentences. He’s been struggling for a couple of months now.
  12. Initial impressions are that he’s total sh1te but he’s been playing in the most cowardly, toothless team in the league. Another 5-10 games will prob be a fair amount of time to assess him
  13. They’ll murder us in the air. Antonio, their CBS...
  14. Same myth as “We’ll start scoring if we buy another striker” It’s rubbish. It’s how the team sets up and plays under the guidance of the manager which determines how free flowing the goals are mostly. Obviously, quality of player also plays a part but just playing two strikers without a decent supply line or tactical set up offensively won’t guarantee anything other than stagnant sideways stuff and being light in midfield.
  15. I definitely think Paul Cook said what he said to wind the morons up down the road. Much better second half, more purposeful going forwards and a bit of fluidity back. We won’t stay up on having a miserly defence though - we’re bad back there. I think Stephens with a dominant CB partner would be useful, Hoedt does him no favours at all. Half he time, he’s he wrong side of his man or marking Stephens. Yoshida please. As for Carrillo... absolutely ineffective. It says something when your forward play becomes infinitely more heartening when Shane Long is brought on ... and he’s pretty down on is luck himself. Well done Wigan and good luck for the rest of the season.
  16. Very harsh, I agree. I’d rather Aaron Martin x100. It’s like watching Steven Caulker. 16m for this clown.
  17. Carrillo is like an on pitch version of Pellegrino. Get rid. Hoedt is a 16m Dutch Aaron Martin without basic footballing skills for a centre back. Get rid. Ross Wilson, take a bow.
  18. Christ how smug is Reed?
  19. My WC Squad... I'd use this opportunity to blood for the future tournaments... hard to pick centre-backs though, they're mostly all very, very average. Pickford, Butland, Pope. Bertrand, Sessengon, Walker, Trippier, Stones, Cahill, Smalling, Gomez. Cork (being selecting him since 2012), Wilshere, Alli, Sterling, Lallana, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Dier, Shelvey, Loftus-Cheek. Kane, Vardy, Rashford. Standby: Hart, Heaton, Rose, Maitland-Niles, Jones, Lingard, Sancho, Walcott. Fairly young, dynamic and most of them untainted by previous tournament failures... just let them go out and play! No rigidity, just play, go for it!
  20. From what I was told, it’s 8 games, see how both parties feel at the end of the season and where we are and we’ll go from there. Him staying is not being ruled out.
  21. Go get Roger Schmidt, please! Though I wouldn’t be averse to MH staying if he keeps us up, he’d deserve an opportunity if he gets results with the sh1tty fixture list we’ve got left. He solid enough, let him try build something. He’d never be my first choice, but if he does keep us up, he does deserve a chance.
  22. What a great interview. No time to bed in, we have to hit the ground running. Need to have no apprehension, we’ve got to go for it, express ourselves. F()cking get in.
  23. Don’t leave it there! Tell me more
  24. Oh, and welcome back Mark... important bit of advice... ignore the whimpering crybaby gender neutral fan boys on twitter and the like. They’ve never kicked a football in their lives, yet pontificate from their ivory towers about how ‘having two strikers would solve the problem scoring goals’ and that ‘we haven’t been bad this season, just unlucky’. Weirdos. You have the backing of the sensible, stable and more knowledgable fans.
