This. The problem is with Maya is he suffered from being in and out of the team.. When he had a consistent run he’s actually decent. In other news, Fabian Schar from deportivo poss going to Newcastle for 3.5m. A steal

I said to my mate Sarri would fail. Done wonders at Napoli but won’t be given any time or backing to assert his ideas, definitely gone before the end of season. Burnley will struggle a bit on two major fronts but will be safe. Fulham will be a refreshing addition to the league and no doubt a managerless Chelsea will be sniffing around for Jokanovic at some point. Watford will definitely drop, Brighton might get second season syndrome under Hughton. Cardiff will boot out Warnock whilst above the relegation zone and will go also. Puel out before end of October. Arsenal to be inconsistent and flaky, Emery won’t be all that he’s cracked up to be. West Ham will be better than they have been in recent seasons but their performances won’t match their ridiculous investment. Liverpool... won’t be there year again but they’ll be given media head irrespective. Everton might surprise a few. Wolves will be ok but won’t be a roaring success either, despite their investment. Potter to do well at Swansea, Lampard to impress more than the much lauded Stevie G in their first management jobs. We’ve got a solid 10-12th written all over us.

I look at how effective he is on the pitch, not through just simple stats - though they can tell a story. In this case, I think you’ll find his record is bit skewed in Europe owing to the amount of sub appearances he had.

Josef Martinez hattrick tonight for Atlanta. Hmmmmph. And we're after Ings.

Summer 2018 - Other teams Manager/transfer business

People on here making out Osvaldo was a failure as much as Carillo. Lol. At least Osvaldo looked like a professional footballer... Carillo looked liked someone who'd won a competition to play. -
Stephens actually looks like a footballer, he's just not quite cut out to be a 'main man' CB. That said, he has plenty of other attributes - he could probably be quite a tidy DM. Hoedt is just a mess, full stop. £16m. Lmao. Ross and Les, great stuff.

Results are, but performances are important and normally an indicator of a few things....

Ross Wilson discusses recruiting for the academy
Crab Lungs replied to SuperSAINT's topic in The Saints
Had a rant about the above numerous times, especially the pricing of coaching qualifications here as opposed to other countries. There is no common union between the FA and Premier League and until that is resolved, it won't get any better. We might get a golden generation again as its all cyclical but having two entities wanting two different things puts pay to any one common objective about improving the national team. As for RW, he obviously isn't content with messing up the first team recruitment so he's moved onto the academy. Oh good. -
He is the problem, been saying if for months. Stephens wasn’t great along Yoshida but is far less error prone and assured. Put him next to that *****r and he’s a mess. Won’t change til Hoedt is gone. He’s basically the CB Forster equivalent. Top marks for using the FIFA 17 database to purchase him.

But Hoedt is young therefore guaranteed to improve according to many

Yeah, ok, go speak to Sunderland or Man City fans about him. I suspect they've a more measured and accurate viewpoint on his 'ability' than you. -

Well I hope he signs for Watford so you can reassess your view, which you will, I'm sure. -

Disliked then, perhaps. Hated is definitely extreme. I retract that. Just some players make me go ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh -

Rodwell is probably my most h4ted footballer, above Forster. Absolutely mugging a living. Never showed any promise, never looked any good. Just played safe passes averagely well and got hyped to the heavens. -
Yep, he definitely has. I don't know what it is with this forum; there's so many people who flippantly dismiss players who've shown a bit of promise in a poor team - it's like they're automatically guilty by association. Lemina has played for Juventus and done so with considerable aplomb. He's not pulled out of the bag here, yet, but as a footballer he's got something. He's not a Carillo, where there are no redeemable features or a JWP, who is painstakingly average irrespective of the team quality. He's got something, as have many of our players who so many on here want to sell or would quite hpapily do away with; Reed, Gallagher, Yoshida etc. It remains to be seen whether they can do it consistently but who knows and given the opportunity, I reckon many will be pleasantly surprised. Yet we have this weird w4nkfest when we do sign someone with many people telling everyone else that they're great players (Gunn, Vestergaard etc)... how many of those people have actually watched these players on a consistent basis to make that judgement? Now on here I'm reading Schneiderlin is a load of pump too... absolute rubbish. He's still a cut above what we've got and clearly has not meshed with his new club(s). Strange forum.
-
I don't think them not scoring much was entirely down to him. Think he's a great little player and still developing ... I wonder how much he'd cost though? £20m?
-
You'd have to have been certified mental to give him a five year contract, then another one a year later considering how limited he is. Oh wait, he's not limited - it's just bad form; In which case, I find it very hard to believe that no club would want a GK of his ability. Where is West Ham when you need them?

Jannik Vestergaard - Official: Signs for Leicester

Vestergaard is the almost same height as Wilson sitting down. -

Am I the only one looking forward to him towering over baggy suit Ross in the accompanying new signing vid? -
F()cksake been saying this since the start of the tournament.. in the tight games playing a load of straight runners isn't going to work, we need someone with a bit of composure who can pick a pass and unlock a game. AL is that man. Shame there was 4-5 wasted spots in the squad but meh, as a whole, England have done well. Never want to see Young at LB again though. Ever.
-
Ashley Young. Why. Bottled loads of challenges and cant control the ball. His delivery better be good from corners tonight.
-
i was just wondering... there are so many people on here talking up Marlon, Vestergaard, Gunn... how many of them have seen them play consistently?
