Sums it up well. Reed won't let managers choose their own players... and if they do, it has to get past the transfer committee of Les, the hobbit etc so it's no surprise how unbalanced and ill-fitting some of our recruits have been
-
Under Puel it was dull but it was never embarrassing
-
Didn’t you get the email? The cartoony super hero tripe
-
Oh good, we’re sending out w4nky promo cartoons again.
-
Don't think I've seen a bigger collection of wastemen (and women). F()ck me, that was bad. Real bad.
-
Yup, gone.
-
Yes, he’s quite the sucker for due diligence.
-
Leslie wouldn’t want anyone treading on his toes, either.
-
Well if that’s true then what a mess we’re in. The guy who appointed the failing manager having a pop at him because of his own ineptitude. Awesome stuff
-
Which is a semi positive, though this was an opportunity to move further away. FFS.
-
Am I missing something here? We were dull as dishwater IIRC

I genuinely wouldn't object to Strachan until the end of the seaosn. 4-4-2, bombing in the crosses for.... well, no one. But it'll definitely generate a feel good factor and give some of the underperforming lot a much needed kick up the ass. Oh, and the interviews would be worth watching.
-
You're asking Mr due dilligence to act decisively if you want rid of Pellegrino now. His track record of responding swiftly to situations ain't exactly great. He strung out the Puel debacle for 3 months over the summer while Silva, Schmidt got away. Oh, and you're also asking him to admit he made a mistake... not gonna happen!
-
Being saying it since Puel, spot on. Nothing to do with the squad, plenty of creativity there... it's the style of football
-
That has West Ham written all over it

I know plenty of quality, trustworthy builders/kitchen fitters as I work in the trade industry. Can pass some names on if you wish? -
Nothing wrong with the squad other than a lack of pace and direct running. It's got goals orers and creators, they've just been woefully under utilised by two safety first managers... whose coaching is doesn't create an identity for the team like a Pochettino or attacking mentalist Roger Schmidt would. There's enough decent, attacking footballers in our squad to have scored and created more than we have in the past couple of seasons. It's up to the manager and the coaching staff to create and drill patterns of play, develop an identity and get the players believing in that. Puel and even moreso Pellegrino are failing to do that in spades

He's sh1te and has been well protected up until last season by a superb defence and midfield. Capable of the odd worldie game which everyone remembers and seems to justify his selection for the next 6 months in some people's eyes. Now we're a little weaker in those positions, he's exposed more and his true (lack of) ability is there for all to see. Called it when he signed, got laughed at. Boruc was and probably still is an infinitely better goalkeeper. He's not going through a "bad patch" or is carrying an injury, he's just a poor goalkeeper... made worse by a complete lack of confidence in himself. Would go all out for Darlow or Bentley and try and shift him to a stupidly cash rich club who might need a backup... though he's doing away the possibility of that happening with his continually sh1t performances. It's weird that people have only really started noticing in the last few months... he's been bad for years.
-
Quality keeper. Would get Darlow at Newcastle too Oh...and Forster... "he's just going through a bad patch"
-
Can't wait to read another 20 posts of "Forsters just going through a bad patch" I didn't realise bad patches lasted 3 years +
-
Yup. Him or Schmidt.

He's always been sh1te. Just been well protected for years
