  1. Because someone's took a picture of someone in a shirt wil not stop a multi milllion pound from happening. Oh and stop making stuff up and paigarising other people's info.
  2. Roger Schmidt is for me, the best available candidate out there by a mile. Just watched a tactical analysis of his teams and about forty tactical reviews and quite frankly, I'm sold. He's an absolute tactical mentalist... and for those who play FM, he's an "Overload" kind of guy..
  3. Can't believe so many people want Tadic to go. Inconsistent but Undoubtedly a class player
  4. Couldn't give two f()cks about his nationality - now people are surely grasping at straws. I'm not keen on him remaining because the performances have been substandard.
  5. On the face of it, yes but seriously... you enjoyed watching the rest of the crap which took up 2/3 of the season? I didn't.
  6. Ok I've just heard this too. Ughhh
  7. No you're not alone with Howe, though he's done a remarkable job really. I've always said he comes across like if you've got a black cat, he's got a blacker one.
  8. Missed out on Silva.
  9. I'll accept nothing less than a Joe Kinnear-Gerry Francis dream time
  10. He's always been pretty bad, he just hasn't had the protection of previous years shielding him
  11. ****sake he'd be a great signing :-(
  12. He does, arguably better than Puel. He done well up until the Sunderland game and then his team fell completely apart. Wouldn't read too much into the 7-1 thumping though - they'd gone by then, big time. His style is not as pragmatic as some people say either. Worth watching a few of his games and you'll understand. He does place a lot of emphasis on organisation and solidity but has by no means produced dour football teams. He'd be a great fit. Tuchel would be the dream option , Silva the realistic one. Schmidt a good option too. Howe would be decent and a good fit but he'll never come to us. A big no thank you to De Boer, Mancini, Pellegrini etc. Emery I feel wouldn't work either.
  13. I don't know the time but it'll sound something like this I bet: ----------- Official Club Statement Southampton Football Club would like to announce that manager Claude Puel has left the club with immediate effect. Backroom Staff Eric Black and Pascal Planque have also departed by mutual consent. The club would like to place on record their sincere thanks for the hard work of Claude and his staff and the memories, most notably the EFL Cup run. We wish Claude all the very best for the future. -------- Executive Director/Football Genius Les Reed; "Claude done a magnificent job in testing circumstances but unfortunately we both felt, after a thorough review of the season, that it wasnt working out for all the parties involved. As you are all aware, any new manager considered by the club is subject to our rigourous recruitment process - which enable us to select an outstanding candidate with the correct values and skill sets to take the Club forward and build on the successes of recent seasons. I anticipate that interest in the vacancy will be high - we have a first-class squad, academy and facilities here - and any progressive and forward-thinking manager will likely be interested in this role. The process to identify and procure an outstanding manager will begin shortly."
  14. Quite deserved. Or maybe its just genuine relief he's caught something?
  15. I've never made up what I've said on here... but I've been wrong.
  16. Not a decently coiffured mane in sight on the touchline though
  17. Why do you continue to talk utter made up drivel? And if it's not made up, you've nicked it from somewhere else, padded it out with lots of maybes in the hope that if it comes off, you'll be renowned as ITK?
  18. I fkn hope not
  19. I'd agree definitely that Mane would be rendered redundant under Puel with these tactics, I'm sure of that. There's a lot of "he's improved under Puel" nonsense too. I can think of two players who have improved Romeu an Yoshida, and that's thanks to more exposure. More exposure for the likes of Stephens, Cedric etc too means that there is a false sense of Puel improving the players when he clearly hasn't. There's players in that team that would suit an offensive, expansive style of football but it is ever hardly utilised in favour of the turgid possession at all costs style.
  20. Iirc, he was Vitesse manager when we played them.
  21. So many retards on here. The fact they had about fifteen senior players and sold their two best players in Jan doesn't register. And they were pretty much anchored to the bottom. But naaaah he's done a sh1t job
  22. Or De Boer. Maybe Ince. Or Mancini. Tragically crap managers but a big name. It must be a BIG NAME. BIG NAME. MUST BE HAS TO BE GOT TO BE ONLY BIG NAMES ACHIEVE MANAGMENT SUCCESS
  23. I'm aware of that... but I'm pretty sure he's not involved in squad building and I might pretty sure he didn't throw a wobbler over Mane leaving. His main role was growing commercial revenue, identifying and attracting partners etc.
  24. Oh and I'm not sure Rodgers is THAT involved with transfers.... he was hired for a different purpose. Classic AR10
  25. Having his picture taken in the new shirt won't avert him being sold for 50m+ if we decided to sell... pretty sure about that
