  1. I thought that was every summer?
  2. Amazing how Marco Silva has managed to introduce 6 new players to Hull's current lineup and get them to gel, despite how depleted they have been and still are... Hull actually look organised and decent, as opposed to this continuous f()cking mess.
  3. I don't think so. We were mostly insipid, but I'm sure someone can come up with some crossing stats, or shots stats, that'll somehow validate that argument. No point crossing into a box with only one of your own teammates in it. Likewise shooting and hitting row z isn't a chance. We're sideways passing, boring, disorganised, unfit and quite frankly, embarrassing.
  4. "All we need is a striker, mate" Yes, and we'll create loads more chances, won't we. Nothing to do with the huge gaps in midfield and defence that have been present all-season. Oh, and the third rate goalkeeper diving in slow motion.
  5. Oh, and another thing. Marco Silva.
  6. He's always been this bad. Removing the shield he's had in previous seasons just exposes everyone to that, finally. He's capable of a world-class game every 8 games or so (which sticks in peoples minds and people then retain that as the fact he's amazing, for some reason) but in general he is a huge liability. I'm sure people will remind me when I said he was a League One keeper with a few PL attributes. I think a few more would think a long those lines now. This is nothing to do with confidence or the players in front of him being at fault (though they haven't helped as they don't offer that same level of protection) - it's about him being a pretty bad goalkeeper.
  7. Forster, as I said years ago, has been fortunate to have been protected by Fonte, Alderweireld, van Dijk, Schneiderlin and Wanyama. Doesn't look very good now when he has to do something, does he? That said, what's in front of him is sh1t as well. As I also said a couple of years back, Heaton far superior.
  8. a few on here https://www.reddit.com/r/soccerstreams/comments/5s0owy/1500_gmt_southampton_vs_west_ham_united/
  9. IF it were at all feasible in the real world, would you have Nic back over Reed? How many in hindsight would prefer that?
  10. Well... gonna be a bumpy run in. The good news is if we concede a goal, it tends to wake us up... not that that is actually a good thing. As for a Virgil stop gap (and some more), Martin Caceres is the only viable option. Good centre back. Not Samba, FFS
  11. He couldn't find an opportunity or a possibility? Blimey
  12. Oh and I really want to see who Dalek will appoint...!
  13. This is obviously a hypothetical scenario but I'd be interested to see what people's opinions on this are. Hypothetical Scenario Saints limp to Premier League safety but win the EFL Cup 2-1 thanks to a late Ward-Prowse penalty (stay with me ), meaning the possibility of european football again next season. Claude Puel, despite the heroics of his team in the final is released along with his coaching staff (a lot of compensation, no doubt) and once again, the slate is wiped clean in preparation for the 2017-18 season. As director of football, you have to recruit a new manager, decide on who to sell and recommend players to buy in anticipation of the new season. So, who would you choose, why and what decisions would you make? Here's the current situation: Players Under Offer Bertrand - £21m Liverpool - interested in moving to a bigger club but can be persuaded to stay (payrise from £50k to £70k) Van Dijk - £48m Man City, Chelsea, Barcelona - interested in moving to a bigger club is happy to stay another year New Manager Budget (for compensation) £3m New Manager Salary Budget (per year) £4m Transfer Budget £22m Wage Budget Available (per week) £50,000 Obviously, by selling these players it will enable you to free money in your wage budget and add whatever is received in transfer fees to your transfer budget. Additionally, you can make other players available for transfer if you so wish. However - one caveat - try to be as realistic as possible with what transfer fees you receive/spend likewise with the wage budget. Cristiano Ronaldo for £1m on a £1 a week, as good as that sounds, isn't within the realms of realistic possibility. I'll go first. ______________________________________________ New Manager: Marco Silva (free, end of contract - Hull) New Manager Salary: £4m (because he's worth it...) Retain: Bertrand (wage increase to 70k), Van Dijk Release: Taylor (7k), Isgrove (3k) Transfer In: Darlow, GK (£9.5m, 30k) Denayer, RB/CB (£9m, 50k) W Carvalho, DM (£22m, 50k) Transfer Out: Clasie, DM (£4m, 30k) Martina, RB (£1m, 15k) Forster, GK (£16m, 55k) First XI GK Karl Darlow RB Cedric Soares LB Ryan Bertrand CB Virgil van Dijk © CB Jason Denayer DM Oriel Romeu DM William Carvalho AM Sofiane Boufal AM Manolo Gabbiadini AM Dusan Tadic ST Charlie Austin _____________________________________ Over to you... I'm sure I've left some players off my 'wanted' list but these'll do for now!
  14. Hahahahahahaha at least we've got another midget striker we can pound crosses into aimlessly while he's stood there, outnumbered
  15. Not really. A lot of people struggle to see the concept behind football and how to coach to pattern play and how that effects a team you send out to play. It's like having an argument with a dart board.
  16. Wow, you sound like a nice chap. If you read back on my posts, I'm pretty conclusive on what I think of Les Reed and I actually agree with some of your points. However, tactically, those performances are on Puel. I have said we're imbalanced and lacking in a solid midfielder at the very start of the season (see my posts). As for being full of sh1t and non-ITK... Hahaha, ok.
  17. I know what you're saying and I agree... but there's some people actually buying it. And, saying we were great in the 2nd half... have they ever watched football before? Played it? Coached it? Anyway, I await keenly the Gabbiadini w4nk-fest from the official club Twitter and OS to paper over the glaringly obvious cracks for another couple of weeks.
  18. People who are saying we played well in the first half aren't seriously happy with that, are they? So... produce an insipid first half performance and go in losing but they're happy we came out fighting and grabbed a 2-1 defeat. So, performing that badly in the first place is acceptable, is it? Not the first time this season..
  19. As I've said previous, he's just so full of sh1te.
  20. Hahaha... with a few Premier League attributes, yes.
  21. A veritable smorgasbord of all different kinds of sh1te.
  22. Getting in there before someone else bores us with it, totally ignoring the fact that if we don't create good enough chances in the first place, then you could have the best striker in the world up there and it'll make no difference. For example... signing Gabbiadini will make absolutely no difference to our shambolic defensive cover and creativity issues.
  23. This will make absolutely no difference to our shambolic defensive cover and creativity issues.
