  1. Watching the Kelvin Davis video on Saints Player, watching that penalty save against Brighton makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I just remember going absolutely ballistic and although it was a season of many highs, and it may seem like an odd choice, I would say that moment is my standout memory from the whole season. Total jubilation. So what's your one best moment from last season?
  2. Won't work on IOS but will on Android as James said above. I don't use the commentary but the video highlights plus interviews/news are excellent.
  3. Gotta love the sky man saying "this is great news for f1 fans". Yeah terrific. Something we've been able to see for free will now have adverts and we have to pay to watch.
  4. I don't think anybody is trying particularly. It is, unfortunately, the natural development of the language. This has happened throughout the centuries.
  5. I bloody hate the daily mail. They dig up some nutter with some stickers in another attempt to turn the general public against the Muslim population. **** the press.
  6. No, he couldn't.
  7. I will be singing this.
  8. Whose not quick enough now you brummie tossers!
  9. What happened to the Grolsch? I was looking forward to see if they could get something that tasted marginally better than sh*t.
  10. Loved this when I was at school... http://hypem.com/#!/item/ke8x
  11. I am pretty sure Cortese will be struggling to sleep, so angry will he be at the lost sock revenue. Seriously though, where do people get this impression that Cortese is involved in EVERYTHING that happens at the club? I would say there's a very strong chance he doesn't know about 'sockgate'.
  12. It never fails to amuse me the hypocrasy of us football fans. We bemoan the lack of loyalty from players whilst at the same time calling for a player who has been very loyal to the club to be dropped at the first sign of a dip in form (as happened a few times with Davis last season). Perhaps players would feel more loyalty towards fans and clubs if they felt that loyalty would be rewarded with something in return.
  13. I would be dissapointed if he left England. As others have said the game needs characters. Football should always be first and foremost about the game clearly, but can't you just enjoy somebody with a bit of character, be it good or bad? Balotelli getting torn to pieces over this is EXACTLY the reason that we have a game full of players who are afraid to say or do anything remotely interesting. Give me Robbie Fowlers white line celebration, give me Cantona comedy drop kicking a member of the crowd, Adebayor running the full length of a pitch to celebrate/gloat in front of his old fans, Paulo Di Canio pushing over a ref. They may not register approval but at least they register something! But no, the media and the publics moral outrage over something as meaningless as a player trying to score a backheel in a friendly will eventually force another character to tone down or leave and we will be once again left with a league full of media trained clones for entertainment.
  14. I don't get it.
  15. He says "This was basically the mission, I took on board to fufil the vision, to bring the club back to where it belongs to the premiership". Ok it's not word for word what Saint-Stevo wrote but it reinforces his point that the main aim is simply to get the club back to the premier league at this stage.
  16. Really? I would argue that he has improved since then.
  17. At the beggars fair in Romsey, a couple of guys played Wonderwall, except they just played the same four chords from the intro under the entire vocal. That was pretty ****ing horrendous to listen to.
  18. Nice message, although a bit wierd at the end when he goes on a lot about something "very personal" that Marcus told him but doesn't say what it was.
  19. That's interesting thanks. I live quite near to the Romsey Road/Winchester Road hotspot identified in that report so I guess that can't help. Tried to find comparative figures for areas of Paris but no luck. Just seems odd to me that I wasn't affected at all over there.
  20. Since moving back to Southampton a few years ago I have suffered with much worse athsma than I ever had before. I had simply put this down to the condition developing slightly as I got older. Last year I went to Alderney and didn't use the inhaler at all, which made me think perhaps it's air quality related. But then last week I went on holiday to Paris. I took my inhaler assuming that in a city like that I would be using it pretty regularly. Didn't use it once. Back last night and have already needed the inhaler a couple of times. Is the air quality in Southampton particularly bad? Have there been any published studies of it? I wouldn't have thought it would be worse than Paris. Maybe there's something else that's setting the athsma off but there's definitely a pattern when I go away from Southampton.
  21. Kelvin for me. The grass is not always greener.
  22. Mr Bean was an actor? I thought that was a documentary.
  23. I don't think anybody is suggesting that the seats should be reserved for any longer, rather that it would perhaps be fairer if the renewal price was for all renewals not just those taken in a 2 week period.
