I think you are confusing the opinion of somebody on a message board with the way the manager sets up his team. I'm pretty sure that none of us would want Adkins to say "it's ok lads, it's not the end of the world if we don't win tonight", but none of us on here are the Southampton FC manager so it's ok to aknowledge it in conversation. I don't think a draw would be that bad, but I would be very unhappy to hear Adkins saying it. Yes, an ambitious team should take each defeat badly to motivte themselves for the next one, but none of us on here are directly involved in motivating the team pre match, so it's probably ok for us not to take it that badly.

A loss tonight or even a draw would not be a disaster, but this is our chance to get more than one game ahead.

I like the fact he's still talking about wanting to catch Brighton, even if it is unlikely.

More nervous watching this than I was Saturday!
-
Mackail Smith should've done a lot better with that.
-
Why not? That should be ok 20 rows back?
-
Mine have turned up, delighted to have tickets for this one but a bit disappointed mine are in Row D, prefer being much further back. Is it likely to be standing there?
-
The trouble they are in I don't think a few thousand extra on the gate is going to get the staff paid. I think they're basically having to wait until the club is taken over.

Anotyher question it's probably easier to add on this already existing thread. When buying for away games can you choose your seat if you phone? I've always done through online and you get what you're given but have somebody who wants to sit nearer the front for this one...
-
Where could you enter? I didn't see anybody selling tickets.

Love watching the highlights and hearing that OWTS was being sung throughout the buildup to the first goal. Too often in the past I've sung that for 20 minutes and been rewarded with an opposition goal, or nothing, so it was nice for it to be interrupted by a Saints goal last night!
-
What on earth did you say to him to prompt that?

Tickets came yesterday. Slightly disappointed they're in row d. I wonder if the club will swap them for me once we get the next 1000. -

Got tickets for my group of 6. Would love it if we got promoted down there. What are people doing re trains? The website says £50 return, am I looking in the wrong place or is that it? -
Miserable bastards? Or just ground down by the last 7 years? I am pretty optimistic when it comes to Saints, and even I am nervous, it's going to be exciting though one way or another.

My head says don't be ridiculous we will not need to win every game. My paranoid side cannot see where Peterborough are going to drop points. They will drop points, they will drop points, they will drop points... Nope. Not working.
-
Placed here, this could be an absolutely massive game. Can see us going into it needing a win to go second!

Ok great cheers.

Was Leyton Orient unreserved seating last year or will I need to get everybody's customer numbers and purchase together?
-
I'm trying to get a group together for one before the end of the season. I assume that with ST holders who've not been to any away this season, Leyton Orient is a much more likely proposition for getting tickets?
-
I think it's a case of cross that bridge when we come to it, we need them to beat Peterborough.

Why don't you give him a shout? I'm sure he will happily tell you what's going on :-)

I see that Szczesny is out for 6 weeks with the dislocated finger he picked up v Barcelona. Now I remember seeing a Bruce Grobbelaar video when I was young in which he said he used to dislocate them all the time and would just pop/snap them back into place himself and carry on. So my questions are, do keepers still do this at any level? Was Grobbelaar just talking BS and it never actually happened at all? Is it just a sign of the times that something you would supposedly play on with 20 years ago is now a 6 week absence, or is Szczesny's just likely to be a really bad one?
