Just a heads up then. I am attending most of the run in games but missing Brentford. Therefore I can guarantee that we will clinch promotion at Brentford so thats the one you should aim for.

The animosity took me totally by surprise. I lived there when we got relegated from the prem and always wanted them to do well, until the day we were relegated wearing my saints shirt in the pub and I was subjected to abuse from a load of Brighton fans who were all cheering on Man U, it was like wearing a Saints shirt in Pompey, I really wasn't expecting it.

My favourite was the commentator getting irate during the Bournemouth game because a Bournemouth player was flagged offside when receiving the ball in his own half, having come from an offside position. He was getting quite irate about the ref not knowing the offside rules and you cant be offside if you receive the ball in your own half. I was only listening to the radio and I could tell the player must've come back from being offside.

The texts started coming in after they mentioned him a couple of times and the whole thing snowballed. Was pretty ridiculous though.

I don't think you are taking this seriously enough. I would go so far as to suggest that if this is anything more than a knock to the head then the WHOLE WORLD is in danger.

I think you are confusing the opinion of somebody on a message board with the way the manager sets up his team. I'm pretty sure that none of us would want Adkins to say "it's ok lads, it's not the end of the world if we don't win tonight", but none of us on here are the Southampton FC manager so it's ok to aknowledge it in conversation. I don't think a draw would be that bad, but I would be very unhappy to hear Adkins saying it. Yes, an ambitious team should take each defeat badly to motivte themselves for the next one, but none of us on here are directly involved in motivating the team pre match, so it's probably ok for us not to take it that badly.

A loss tonight or even a draw would not be a disaster, but this is our chance to get more than one game ahead.

I like the fact he's still talking about wanting to catch Brighton, even if it is unlikely.

I never understand the "Walcott hasn't reached his potential" argument. When fit he is first choice for a team in the Champions League and fighting for the Prem title, he has scored a hattrick for England, and would probably be in the starting 11 every time for England if he could stay fit.

The trouble they are in I don't think a few thousand extra on the gate is going to get the staff paid. I think they're basically having to wait until the club is taken over.

Anotyher question it's probably easier to add on this already existing thread. When buying for away games can you choose your seat if you phone? I've always done through online and you get what you're given but have somebody who wants to sit nearer the front for this one...

Where could you enter? I didn't see anybody selling tickets.

Love watching the highlights and hearing that OWTS was being sung throughout the buildup to the first goal. Too often in the past I've sung that for 20 minutes and been rewarded with an opposition goal, or nothing, so it was nice for it to be interrupted by a Saints goal last night!

Got tickets for my group of 6. Would love it if we got promoted down there. What are people doing re trains? The website says £50 return, am I looking in the wrong place or is that it?

Miserable bastards? Or just ground down by the last 7 years? I am pretty optimistic when it comes to Saints, and even I am nervous, it's going to be exciting though one way or another.
