  1. Fully agree. Was saying exactly the same earlier.
  2. I said Nige jumped the gun a bit when taking the Reading job! Can't say I'm really surprised, seeing as they romped away with the title this season. Quit at the top! His successor has got to be of: Mourinho, Moyes and Klopp. Will be very surprised if it isn't one of them. As an aside, I wonder how long it will take for Saggy Chops to make a statement along the lines of, 'Of course I would be interested in the job; United are a massive, massive, club!'
  3. I have a lot of time for AVB. He always comes across well in interviews, etc. I will certainly be cheering for Spuds tonight.
  4. Saggy chops stated weeks ago that anyone who thought a team with at least 37 points at the end of the would be relegated needed their head testing (or words to that effect). Therefore, we have been safe for ages; because we all know Henry is never full of cr@p!! Personally, I have thought for a while that 39 would probably be enough - but also think we will end on more than that.
  5. Kenwyn Jones? (Dons hard hat.)
  6. And yet you think we will............
  7. I offered you this twice last week and you completely ignored my posts on both occasions: I will agree to give a grand to Saints in the Community should we go down, provided you agree to do the same should we stay up. I eagerly await your reply.

    Bale celebrating

It's a pity you have such little respect for grammar!
  9. Pull yourself together Crabby!!! I am feeling pretty okay. As you say, we have been in far worse situations and pulled through. I certainly wouldn't want to swap places (and fixtures) with Wigan, Newcastle or Norwich; or, unless they win tomorrow, Sunderland. Heck, I would even rather have our last 2 fixtures than those of Fulham and Villa.
  10. Yes, you're right, I stand corrected. As I originally said, we would go down if Wigan won by a single goal and we lost by 14,

    Guly

No one said he was; he did, however, put in a decent shift before he was forced off. We were also poorer in midfield after that event.
  12. Unless we lose/Wigan win by a combined 15 goals.
  13. I have just done the predictor (giving us a draw at Sunderland) and get it like this going into the final matches: 11. Stoke 41 -11 12. Saints 40 -11 13. Fulham 40 -13 14. Villa 40 -23 15. S'land 39 -12 16. N'wch 39 -22 17. N'cstle 39 -23 18. Wigan 38 -23 Also; 3. Arsenal 70 33 4. Chelski 69 34 5. Spuds 69 19 I would definitely take this!! Even thought he likes of Alpine, Dalek, Blakey, etc, would still predict us to go down it would mean to do so we would have to lose at home to Stoke (who would be safe) by about 14-0 whilst: Norwich would have to win away to Citeh; Sunderland would have to win away at Spuds (who would be desperate to win); Newcastle would need to beat Arsenal (who would need to win to guarantee CL next season); Wigan to beat Villa by one goal. Of course, Wigan could get something at the Emirates - meaning Arsenal would be more desperate for points on the final day; Newcastle might beat QPR away (I predict a draw); Norwich could beat WBA (again, I predicted a draw); we could lose to Sunderland (which MIGHT, if all the other results start to go against us, be squeeky bum time going into the last week).
  14. Agreed, especially about the red cards!!
  15. Create it now!! A mod can lock it and open at the relevant time!
  16. I always find it amusing that the post match thread is significantly longer when we lose. We played very well yesterday and really didn't deserve to lose. However, it was a wonder strike from Bale that beat us. Quite simply, had he still been a Saint we would have won that match easily. Anyway, it was a game I expected us to lose - as did most people - hence why I really don't understand all the doom and gloomers crying over it. We really do need to get something against Sunderland next week though!

    Bale celebrating

If I had scored a goal like that against Saints, probably a winner 5 minutes from time for a team chasing a Champions League spot, I would have celebrated too.
  18. I agree. Clyne has been very good this season. Whilst I have rarely given him MoM (which he was for us yesterday) he always comes close to it.
  19. Doubt it, he went off injured
  20. Time for Mayuka to open his goalscoring account with us..........
  21. Sounded like it to me
  22. Good first half.
  23. Rickie hits the post.........
  24. Holtby on for Dembele
