  1. He talks a great game but has yet to really deliver IMO. The danish Ward-Prowse. Still both are young, hungry and therefore guaranteed to improve.
  2. http://gianlucadimarzio.com/en/napoli-wolfsburg-and-southampton-after-gabbiadini Says us or Wolfsburg are his likely destination.
  3. This is a good winter wonderland, 99p on iTunes or free on youtube.
  4. How is it cricketers can play 5 days in a row yet our little lambs can't manage 3 games in a week?
  5. Good to see the club is playing the same way from youth through to first team #thesouthamptonway

  8. So you going to shut the f+ck up for a week then?
  9. So Jamie. Do we look fresher? Did Puel get it right?
  10. Why do people persist with the utter nonsense that Redmond replaced Mane? He didn't Boufal was Manes replacement. If Redmond replaced anyone it was Juanmi and he's done considerably more than him already.
  11. One of the best quotes about him was from batman a few weeks ago "I never rated Pelle but at least he scored goals" Mongboardery at its finest
  12. It really is amazing how many people who think they know about football can fail to understand how a release clause works.
  13. If we bring back Gallagher and he does well Reed will be blamed for loaning him out in the first place. If we bring back Gallagher and he does badly, Reed will be blamed for using a cheap option for our striking problems. If we bring back Gallagher and sign someone else as well Reed will be blamed for staling the progress Gallagher was making at Blackburn by not getting enough game time.
  14. The thing that annoys me about him is every time he gives it away he screams at his teammates. I disagree about the all to sims that was a difficult pass to make however there was a time when he was on the left wing, had a simple ball back to Bertrand or a sideways pass to Davis and he tried an impossible pass to slip it between two defenders gave it away, then screamed at Bertrand for not moving. I genuinely think there is a good player in there somewhere, he can beat a man but most of the time his final ball or shooting is dreadful. I'm also concerned about his attitude of blaming others when things go wrong doesn't strike me as someone who thinks he still has a lot to learn in the game which at 22 he most definitely has. Nothing wrong with a bit of confidence but he seems to be a bit of spoilt brat who already thinks he's better than he is.
  15. I wonder if the ones getting on his back are the same ones chanting "Alex Oxlaide Chamberlain he's one of our own" every time we play arsenal? Why do we have some many fans who are complete p*icks?
  16. Fans really need to be up for this one, no excuses. The couldron of banter needs to be at its best. I want to see lots of facepaints, foam hands and wigs, as we're nearing the festive season now would be a great time to dust off the Santa hats and elf costumes. None stop berating of the 'boro fans with songs like "small town near hull" "town full of smog" and "does the social know you're here" will really get to them. Great chance to applaud one of our former players and welcome them back on their club, to the tune of sloop john b (as usual), "Ramirez has got talent, he's clearly got talent, remember that villa game? He's clearly got talent" reckon that should be enough to out banter the boro boys.

    Puel out

Tonight was the first time Ive been angry at a performance in years. Nothing wrong with the team selection, he talked a great game before kick off but the way we set up was so negative, the performance so lifeless, so lethargic and limp. We played for a 0-0 and the longer the game went on their goal was inevitable. It was a poor performance lacking any ambition or ideas, we don't get into Europe very often and go out in such pathetic style two years in a row is a disgrace.
  18. I think the Israelites might be in for a shock tonight. We've seen what it did to Prague and Milan. Not many teams are able to handle the red hot atmosphere at the cauldron of #bantz. The dancing dogs, the hilarious wit cascading down from the northam end, not to mention the Chapel Kop sucking the ball into the net. It'll be like nothing they are used to or have seen before with all four sides of the stadium ripping into them. I just hope it goes off peacefully and they acccept the foam hand of friendship our notorious bantologists will no doubt offer them.
  19. You've come all the way from Israel and you're going to spend your time in Yates?
  20. Stop lying and get back to your frying pan Casey, the captain will need his dinner soon.
  21. Yep, we started the season really well then it all went to pot as we slid down the table around November time, went about 18-19 games without a win. This was heading for 0-0 then Rod Wallace got taken out by their keeper to give us a last minute penalty. Newcastle went down that season by some margin IIRC and we went on a bit of run and ended up finishing about 14th. That was also the season we broke our transfer record to sign Barry Horne from down the road. You could see that Nichol was starting to build a decent side but that run was horrendous, imagine the meltdown if that had happened now.
  22. Luton were a decent side in those days. They reached a few cup finals in that era. I remember reading beat the in the final of the Simod cup (remember that!) I'm sure they got to two league cup finals as well winning one and losing one and had a few good runs in the FA cup. Was this the year where we lost 2-1 after extra time at the dell? We had a perfectly good goal disallowed with about 15 to go which would have put us 1-0 up. We really do have a horrendous record in quarter finals, there can't be many teams who have reached so many over the years and failed to win so few.
