  1. Please god not Shearer.
  2. We could do a lot worse than Gross. His record everywhere bar Tottenham is pretty good. I just saw Ruel Fox on Where Are They Now, and he said he was an excellent coach who was years ahead of his time, but was never given a fair chance by the Spurs players/fans.
  3. Yeah good luck to the skate chav **** Cranie About the last person who should be wished good luck on a Saints message board. What next? The Harry Redknapp appreciation thread?

  6. Rory Delap and Danny Higginbottham's love child
  7. Seeing as you read the main board more than most, why don't you tell us?
  8. Great shout. Bottled out of the biggest game of our season as a 'precaution', and was back playing six days later, completely fine. Also got himself needlessly sent off against Palace, and cost us two points against Everton. Why some Saints fans still speak fondly about him is beyond me. Skate ****.
  9. Bentley has complained about nearly every manager he's ever played under. He is a big time charlie who thinks he's a lot better than he is. I don't care what he said (If he did actually even say it)

    Dowie

Why? Dowie has failed at his last three jobs. I don't understand why so many people rate him so highly. Take out the promotion season at Palace and his managerial record actually looks quite poor.

    Dowie

Dowie has been poor since that half a good season at Palace when he got them promoted. No thanks!
  12. Much rather have Ince than Dowie.

  14. No. The two third placed teams (Saudi Arabia and Bahrain) are the only teams left from Asia that can still qualify. They will have a play off to determine who plays New Zealand for a right to a place in the World Cup. Iran came 4th in their group.
  15. Wish I went to the Dell more than I did. Didn't get a season ticket until we moved to St Marys, only used to go to about 5 or 6 games a season. Also wished I'd got into football a bit earlier than I did (1997) so I could have seen more of MLT. I was lucky enough to catch some of his magic, and remember one particlularly great goal against Villa, but I wish I could have seen him 92-95ish sort of period when he was probably at his best. Steaua Bucharest away would have been fun. Might not get the chance to play in Europe again, or at least for a very long time. Since April 2006 I haven't missed a game. Don't want to miss out on anything!
  16. England fair enough. City he did do well for a few seasons, got them promoted and then had them mid table. Although his last season wasn't so brilliant I always loved watching that City side (Spurs cup tie anyone?). After a shaky start he did well at Newcastle second time around. They went on a good run at the end of the season. This season he was there for three games, they won one, drew one (away at Man United) and lost one (away at Arsenal). He didn't have money to spend this time at Newcastle (A couple of Dennis Wise signings from Spain). Not saying he is Guus Hiddink, but we are League One ffs with a 10 point deduction, we are not going to attract much better. Keegan is a far better option than the likes of Tisdale, Dowie etc who have been linked with us.
  17. Keegan has done well wherever he has been bar England. Yes he did have money to spend at those clubs, but that doesn't always guarantee success. His record is far better than anyone else that we have been linked with. Any club in this division would kill to have Keegan as manager.
  18. Been to 51 grounds in total, seen Saints at all of them apart from Swindon. From League 1 I have been to; Bristol Rovers, Charlton, Exeter, Leeds, Millwall, Norwich, Southend, Swindon (and obviously St Marys) 15 new grounds to tick off this season then! Best moment from those grounds had to be the 3-0 win at Elland Road in 2006. Great to see the Leeds fans so upset, especially considering it was the first time we had played them since THAT game at St Marys the previous season. The game at Carrow Road the same season when we needed to win to have a chance of staying in the hunt for the play offs was a great day out and a great atmosphere. Charlton is always a one of the best away days. Exeter was a nice little trip last season in the cup. Millwall away in the cup a few years ago was one of the most comfortable games I've ever seen involving Saints (4-0) Worst moment, Bristol Rovers in the cup!
  19. How pathetic is it by the way, that you have to pay to put the fixtures up
  20. Probably be better to book it for the Carlisle game
  21. You can buy them in the ticket office, online or by phone. Yes someone else can use your ticket. Yes you get priority for away/cup games.
