As you say, your view and yours alone. That said the new ownership is a significant change and we all know that change brings uncertainty. As such it's no surprise that some will feel threatened/uncertain while others will be more optimistic. In some ways on a football level it's not dissimilar to where we sit as country now, but I'll not go into that in case the 'snowflake' insults start flying about.

Don't want to patronise, but that's what happens in all aspects of life. Our model was never sustainable and I don't blindly accept anything. Football like a lot of things is cyclical. Liverpool dominate for years and then don't win a league title for ever, same with Man U pre-1993 but they'll never go down, unfortunately if we have a bad season our fall back is potential relegation which is where we are now.

Manager apart, who doesn't seem to be able to provide a settled lineup/pattern. Our squad is full of those who have punched above their weights for a good few years and simply don't have the mindset or mentality for a fight. EFL next year.

Been thinking for a long time. Why Liverpool, why so often? Taking each transfer Lallana has had one reasonably good season in three but has never hit the heights he did with us, Lovren has just been a disaster, and Clyne can't get a game. The only player with world class potential, and I stress potential, to make the move was Mane who has done OK. So what have the bin dippers got out of it all. Effectively, and because they can they seem to have bought from us to stop us from progressing and threatening their presence in the top echelons of the Premier League. In 2014 under Pochettino we were the next big thing, unfortunately because we didn't have the financial clout to back it up we were deemed to have forgotten our place in the football food chain. This is payback. A reminder of where we belong. Personally I think the board played a blinder with the six year contract as a means to extract the highest possible fee and just should have acknowledged that it was put in place to do exactly that, rather than go through the charade of the last six months.
