The squad numbers being released today (With Chambo at 11) almost feels like a direct response to these quotes.

That's fine, but the press (especially The Sun) has a pretty rubbish reputation right now... it's no good trying to play the 'integrity of the press' card atm.
-
Huge surprise to see there was no press conference(!)

I see the 'quality over quantity' approach that relies on no injuries is already working... http://www.talksport.co.uk/radio/transfer-talk-show/blog/2011-07-16/video-ouch-john-terry-boots-luke-varney-face I wonder if they'll have a full subs bench when the season starts in... oh, three weeks?

Turkish, you've made your point. People obviously want to discuss what the new kit might look like, so please, just let them.

He's about 2 years too late and 20 miles too far west for that.

Hunting is funny. Geeking is hilarious.

Bet you can't get Northam singing that before the end of the season!

Great that we've finally signed him Our midfield looks sorted now, if we manage to keep hold of Oxo for this season. Now... have Hampshire and Saints ever had players with the same surname at the same time before?

or like the old Stern John chant.... Jaaaaaaa-ack Cork, Jaaaaa-ack, Jaaaaaaaa-ack Cork....

Although Niemi was no ordinary player for us... it wasn't his job to be up front, and that shot he had that went off the bar...

If it was iPad you'd have said iPad instead of laptop. If you're going out to wifi hotspots just to wind up people on a forum that's even funnier. And if you're telling the truth your ITK transfer gossip is as likely to be accurate as any other ITK transfer gossip on here. But you're not telling the truth, you clearly thought just using a different computer would result in a different IP address. Changing your story to fit in with what you've just learned might work in a spoken argument sometimes, but it utterly falls down when all the facts are laid out and recorded, as you've already found out with the epic slam down you were a victim of the last time you disappeared. Now... I have a question for you. Do you think the media have finished with Pompey yet? Are you confident that we won't be seeing more stories about how it all went wrong yet again?

Heh... You realise just signing in from a laptop instead of a computer would still show the same public IP address right? Your Corp Ho nick always has the same address (or at least has the same address for a while) so you're on a broadband connection but don't have a static IP address. A laptop connected to that broadband connection would have the same IP address as far as the forum is concerned, it's the job of the router behind that public IP to sort stuff from the public side to the local area network (ie seperate computers like your laptop and computer). This is known as Network Address Translation. So either you've not only paid the £5 for a seperate account, AND the montly fees for sperate internet access just to get a seperate IP address to hide behind... or you're lying. I know which I think it is. Just stop. It's painful to watch. You already had no credibility here. I didn't think it was possible, but now you have even less.

OK, I think everyone that's wanted to has had their say while this has been on the main board, moved to Forum Suggestions, not locked or deleted so discussions can continue.

Well this isn't a thread about Jack Cork any more. If something new happens, start a new thread.
-
He may not actually have a doppelganger. He might just be saying that to make us waste time looking for him, or create a rift because of people being accused of being him, as I don't believe he'd have actually paid £5 on a 2nd account to be able to send PMs like he said he did. IF he has, the person best placed to look for him would be Steve, as he can see who's paid.

Oh. So it was just losing the credit facility that killed your finances then? The fact that you couldn't pay the taxman, your own players, the tea lady, or even the CHARITIES was all just because of cash flow? Wrong. Regardless of outside investment that may or may not have existed or happened, you were in a right state and it was all your own fault, and keeping hold of a credit facility would NOT have made any difference at all.

I don't know if the comment about us having the only big accepted was on the Saints official twitter feed earlier and then removed, or was never there at all, but it's definitely still there on Jordan Sibley's twitter feed. http://twitter.com/#!/jordansibley

I didn't move it because it was a lighthearted amusing post, I moved it because it looked like we'd signed someone from the title. That fact alone could have started arguments, so I stopped them before they started. It's still there to talk about if someone wants to, but it's exactly where it deserves to be.

Or alternatively, all the other clubs that have been outspending us beyond their means won't be able to any more and we'll have a better shot of attracting players with our excellent facilities and being able to afford bigger wages than most in this division.

Dambusters dog/code word changed to make it Politically Correct
Jimmy_D replied to dune's topic in The Lounge
Dune, if you want to watch a more historically accurate version, why not just watch the original? This is, after all, just entertainment based on a historical event. The records and history of the original events won't be changed, and while people might mistakenly believe something that wasn't true because of a film, that's nothing new! (For a film that hangs several lampshades on this and a brightly coloured hat, watch Churchill: The Hollywood Years). People learning history won't suddenly change what they're learning because of a historically innaccurate film, and in fact if it is used to help teach, innaccuracies are only highlighted by the film, and in this age of limitless communication and information, the truth is out there for people that want to look for it, or to present in any argument that ensues in the event that someone's trying to use a film as historical fact... If someone's not arguing about it, and not learning about it, does it really matter that they might believe an innaccurate version of events that much? -
I'd pick this one. Looks fantastic.

It'll really get going on 1st July, as that's when most players' contracts run out.

It starts on 0 before the thread is started. Post #1 is the first post, and adds up to 1 post. Post #10 is the tenth post, and adds up to 10 posts. Post #40,000 is the fourty thousandth post, and adds up to 40,000 posts. Yours was the 40,000 reply though.

Not likely, but possible (maybe?), Robbie Keane.
