  1. I see what you did there.
  2. I'm sure it will be confirmed that Adkins was our first choice.....funny that the one appointed is always the 'first choice'. Anyway good luck to the man. COYR
  3. On the Echo now as well http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/8381139.Adkins_move_in_doubt/
  4. It will be Friday, it's always a Friday...isn't it?
  5. That's about how I see it too...
  6. That Lallana fellow is still pretty useless I understand
  7. OK let's remove the word 'exactly' from both our posts and then agree that he know's 'enough' to be able to comment on the state of the Club?
  8. I'm sorry but if you don't think he knows exactly what is going on at the Club you are kidding yourself.
  9. I'm sure he knows more about the Chairman than any one poster on here despite what the ITKers would have you believe. I don't agree with him going public on this but at the same time it would be foolhardy not to atleast listen to what he has to say. There is a significant ground swell against NC right now and there must be some substance behind it. Personally I find it a worrying time for the Club.
  10. Sorry if already posted but there's a new article on SSN ref Adkins http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11719_6364741,00.html ...reading between the lines I'd say he's definitely been talking to Southampton
  11. Whatever happened to Friday? It always used to be Friday!
  12. Maybe Reed is a candidate himself.....
  13. SSN also reporting it to be this week with Howe and Adkins both mentioned http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11719_6362090,00.html
  14. Sounds more than plausible.
  15. I see McLeish has had a pretty significant bust-up with his Chairman so based on this 'fact' alone it is clear he is coming to St Marys...cough
  16. I honestly expected us to announce a replacement within hours which clearly wasn't the case, maybe there was a last minute hitch with the candidate who was lined up or maybe it was unplanned (at that time) afterall
  17. Sorry if this has already been posted as I haven't read all the posts but Martin Samuel wrote a short article in today's Mail that was quite scathing of Cortese to say the least. He pointed the finger to a text that NC alledgedly send AP after the Rovers game asking him why Guly only got 5 minutes, it would seem NC was behind the signing rather than AP. Anyway apologies again if this is old 'news'
  18. I've hardly posted in months so I'm not sure if I should be offended or not lol! Blimey it's all going on with our little club isn't it!
  19. I haven't posted for months but felt compelled to after hearing the terrible news. RIP Markus Sir you saved The Saints and will forever be in our hearts.
  20. It's a shame he hasn't conducted himself in the same way as Paul Hart did in similar circumstances. Constant moaning and belly-aching about the 'woe is me' situation. Can hardly be an inspiration to an already demotivated bunch and now he has basically thrown his toys out of the pram. All very sad...but quite funny.
  21. At the impressionable age in question then putting them in a lodge would be a disastrous idea. As has been said, this idea has gone on for years and years and seems pretty succesful.
  22. This has gone on for years...not a new idea at all.
  23. Good covering John, if it hadn't been for those pesky kids you would have got away with that one.
  24. After Walton delayed the corner kick to tell off the naughty squabbling boys you just knew he was going to give a free kick as soon as the ball was played into the box. An awful performance, the only thing that probably went in our favour was not sending off Puncheon after what looked like a clear straight arm to the head of the Leeds lad who ended up going off. Not read the whole thread but I assume Walton is now reffing League 1 as he's had a host of poor performances in the higher leagues?
  25. In broad agreement. Best game I've seen Jaidi have by a long way. Puncheon was fantastic in the first half but seemed to run out of puff in the second and was a bit surprised he didn't get replaced. Lambert has been immense for the last few games (and most of the season for that matter), I didn't think he was any better today but he certainly seems much happier alongside Barnard than he ever has with Connolly. Just a really good solid all-round performance today, fantastic.
