And it seems Sir Clive has put in a good word for us now we're part of the Rugby World Cup bid.
-
Are you sure that's not the odds to start in League 1 next season?
-
Come on, Rupert, you must accept your share of the responsibility. Bagpuss couldn't fix what was already breaking down.
-
LOL ...If Andrew Cowen did this, I think he would have been spotted, 6X not withstanding! ( You used to get a good pint of 6X in The Lamb.)

Booooo!!! I saw Andover play quite a bit as a kid, we lived a few hundred yards from the Walled Meadow, but I never felt I was a supporter. I saw Reading and Ipswich now and then because we had family nearby, but I could never get very excited. If Saints go under I shall porbably give up following football altogether, there is just no other team I could feel the same way about, no other team I would feel the same rush for at 3 o'clock on a Saturday afternoon. I cannot describe how bad I feel about the current situation, especially when you think the wages of one top Premiership player for one year could get us out of a spot and I imagine the administrator haggling over pennies. There is something badly wrong in English game and SFC is a symptom. If we are saying RIP SFC this time next week the FA and the FL need to take a long hard look at themselves, not for me - I won't be watching football, but for the sake of all those other fans who will suffer the way we have. :smt013

I don't think liberals sit on the fence, they have clear-cut, firm beliefs... well I think so, but I'm not sure...
-
I'm sure MLT meant well when he hooked up with Pinnacle, but we all know which road is paved with good intentions... Are Pinnacle potless, are they tyre-kickers or are they just screwing down the best possible deal they can? I hope it's the latter.

Who can decide whether to sell at the moment? It must be Mark Fry and I would think that he would want to keep the current best players so he can negotiate the best price with any buyers. We will not get market value if they are sold while we're in administration so I think all the players will stay until any sale of the club is completed.

Don't Bother to Read the Echo Today
Leslie Charteris replied to Guided Missile's topic in The Saints
Mark Fry made encouraging noises at the start - why is he so quiet now? I have this sinking feeling - GM might just be right. :-( -
...I read "We are studying the League One play-offs". Is Wotte trying to impress any new owners or does he know something we don't?

Who Else is Preparing for the Worst?

Only if the bid will raise more for the creditors than liquidation! :-( -
Didn't Bristol Rovers give us a good demo of League One football a little while ago? We'll also need at least 60 points next season just to survive.

Exclusive - Open Letter to Fans From New Owner...

Tread carefully, GM, or you'll be banished to the Muppet Show. This is just too funny for some... (or too subtle). -
Championship clubs will enjoy a £400,000 windfall
Leslie Charteris replied to John B's topic in The Saints
It depends, I suppose, on when the funds are distributed. Is it this season or at the start of next season? -
It's a conspiracy thought up by the Lowe Luvvies to distract everyone from the real cause of our demise. ;-)

Good shout for a first post. More signatures needed though - there are only 33 as of 8:30 a.m. Weds.

I hope the FL lawyers are quaking in their boots - they should be - and that whoever takes over has the determination and the wherewithal to take them on. 10 points back please!
-
Great post, it sums up the current, sad reality perfectly. This should be printed out, framed, put on the boardroom wall and read by anyone who takes any responsibility on that board.
-
...and Norwich's board are admitting "they made mistakes." Can't imagine that happening at SFC! http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/n/norwich/8031967.stm

post match interviews re MLT takeover/Kelvin/Surman

Seems like Leeds and Leicester are both interested in KD when his contract expires: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1176941/Leeds-Leicester-target-Championship-return-Saints-shot-stopper-Davis.html -
No!!! We need a completely fresh start with someone who knows the lower leagues inside out and who can spot players who will compete day and day out in League One. It's gonna be a struggle with what we've got now...
-
Football Season over. Thank god. Much to do between now and August.
-
...and it seems hardly fair that Stockport will start the season 10 points above Saints for the same offence!

Do the Monegasque have a sense of humour? Somehow I doubt it but lol :smt044 and sent.
