Slightly off topic, but loosley related. In just over a year my eldest will be 17, he's already babbled on about driving, but the insurance will be crippling. My cunning plan, is to buy a cheap motor bike/scooter when he's 16, insure him for it, but not let him ride it (I think I may be heading for the divorce court if he did), thus earning himself a year of two of no-claims, which he can transfer to a car whenever he chooses to buy one. Is this feasible (or even leagal)?

Well done you. Exactly what I do. Don't let the bastards win.

I think we need to know if they are Saints or Man U fans. Clearly if the latter there isn't a problem with them getting a "bit of a slap". Is there? I'm being facetious. -
Congrats to her. Will we get a gold post box?

At that distance there may be a hint of catenary in a rule. Definitely let the junior do the travelling, although at 45p per mile, the expenses might kill the job, I think I'll let someone else work out the logistics.

That's what I've got (4.73364x10^15 actually). If you take the tape, I'll hold this end here.

I think quite a lot of players smoke, especially foreign ones, in Italy & France it's almost their national pastime. Personally I could never understand how i) a youngster wishing to be a pro sportsman decides it's a good idea to spark-up, and ii) an established pro-sportsman chooses to smoke later into his career, Gazza for example.

Apparently there is, it's mentioned here in Richard Whiteheads write up as he competed in it in 2006; http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/disability-sport/19449193

I went yesterday & saw an SFC union flag hanging in the corner opposite me at the goalball. Anyone on here?

I mentioned this thread to Mrs Geezer, her top tip was don't bother with shop bought baby food. We used to cook-up extra with the sunday roast, liquidise it & freeze in ice-cube trays, defrosting as required. Everything went in, a bit of meat & all the veg. It was gobbled-up in an instant, on the rare occasions we did use the shop bought stuff, they hated it. They still love brocolli, sprouts etc.

Certainly hope so. I'm looking forward to it.

Think I must be the same vintage. I remember his "unveiling". -
I agree with the others. Friends of ours had their first with them untill she was 6 months old, she was having problems settling well into her teenage years. We decided we'd put out kids into their own room at about a week old, first was sleeping through at 4 weeks, 2nd at 6 weeks, neither have had any problems going to sleep. Also put them in a position where you can see them, but they can't see you, and when they are older, be strict with a bedtime routine (quite time-teeth & toilet-reading time (very important)-lights out. No messin'

Ha Ha I'd forgotten about that. When it's coupled with simultaneous diarrhea & p1ssing (without a nappy on) it can be awesome.

The trick is not to worry, it comes pretty naturally, just be prepared for a heap of verbal & physical abuse at the birth. Good luck.

Walking from SMS to Portswood area- best itinerary

That's the route Scally has described, and the one I use. I've never had a problem after dark, as there are plenty of others going the same way. The only problem with this route is the bloody dogsh!t on the boardwalk. -
Ordinarily I couldn't care less, he's a young bloke enjoying himself etc etc., but there must be a question about security & potential to blackmail. After all, he is privy to a lot more classified info than your usual army captain.

Buy San Izal, it's so rough & hard you'll never want to take a dump at home, you will hold until you get to work, not only saving you cash on bog roll & water bills (if you're metered), but you also get paid to do it.
