  1. What he says. It feels like the good old days in the way the players have stuck around. The fans have warmed to the players & vice versa. Hopefully the days of mercanary players coming in for a season (or even just half a season) have gone. I feel like this squad have grown with each other sharing the bad times with the good, and it would be a shame, and a bit disloyal for the club to bring in a host of new players should we get promoted.
  2. I've been building an extension/refurbing for about 4 years, so I fit diy in around SFC & rugby.
  3. I heard it & was very pleased he said it. I used to sign off by posts on a music forum with that, it used to annoy the hell out of the skate on there, (he's not posted for some time now). I wonder if Nigel is a Queen fan?
  4. Well I'm confused now, I was speaking to a mate of mine recently about parking across dropped kerbs, he works for the council & his job sometimes requires that he deals with this sitution. He told be that it is perfectly legal to park across a driveway/dropped kerb, unless you are blocking someone in the driveway, not stopping them getting in, but stopping them getting out. Basically he said that if there is a car on the driveway, or a closed garage don't park there, if there is nothing on the driveway, or an open & empty garage, you can park there. You got a ticket for neither blocking in, or out - I don't understand.
  5. Loved that, a thoroughly deserved win & a clean sheet too. I think Jos is now the more dominant of the centre-backs, a great signing & on his way to becoming a cult hero. Cracking goal from Lee, I thought he was going to shake hands with the whole stadium as he went off. Special mention to KD, that save he made when we were 1-0 up was a cracker & it was vital he kept hold of it, could have been different if that had gone in.
  6. Good for me . I'm away on the Saturday with my nipper on a rugby tour.
  7. Do you have one from the MLT Testimonial? It's the only match I've been to & never got a programme for.
  8. It was supposed to be built on the piece of wasteland next to Central Hall. The guy proposing it originally wanted to build a small supermarket with offices & flats above. Construction drawings were well advanced & suddenly he pulled the plug owing all the consultants involved a lot of money. The land next door became available and he had plans for the rink drawn up. I'll be very surprised if it happens. The feeling is that he is not expecting to get the grant or planning approval and will be "forced" to build appartments on a much larger site than before, giving him a far better return financially.
  9. That's a surprisingly big drop for him to L2. Good luck to him & hope he can stay fit & get regular football.
  10. The one in Bitterne is still open (too serve a city of 250,000).
  11. I see what you did there, it's very good.
  12. I think we have the answer: http://www.wave105.com/news/local/60-navy-sailors-sacked-for-taking-drugs/ Kick the habit TDD, you don't want to end up like poor Whitney.
  13. Good plan. I'm going for 2-0 Saints again. Same for saturday against Derby.
  14. How come one of the few times I get a prediction right, It doesn't get saved?
  15. Here I am, brain the size of a planet......................
  16. Lip Up Fatty.
  17. Yesterday I thought it wa an og, because I didn't think Sharp touched it. After seeing it on The FL Show, it looks like a fluke, but Sharps goal, whether it hit the defender or not, Sharp had directed it on target & it may have got deflected. I'm pretty sure it's only given as an og if the initial shot was off target & the deflection alters the path into the goal.
  18. My mate did a similar thing, except the copper was ok about it, he took his keys & wrote on his arm that he could pick tham up at the nick. My mate had a long walk from Town Quay to the Civic Centre and back again the following morning.
  19. Bloody 'ell its Stumpy Park Rangers & WDS were a long time ago, cough up your fiver you tight git & we can have a propper chat.

  22. No I'd pay for it.
  23. Yeah good plan! A newly promoted team, currently 2nd in the league, hitting a bit of a slump, we obviously neede a new man in, who would you suggest, Warnock, Coppell, Curbishley all currently available I believe.
  24. If I ever have 10k burning a hole in my pocket, I'll pm you. Does that make you feel better?
  25. I don't the players confidence will be affected at all, the result could easily been different, what cost us was two bad refereeing decisions. We had one perfectly good goal disallowed, I was bang inline & no-one was offside for the Reeves goal and their goal was never a free kick in the first place, and should have been retaken anyway, as the ball was rolling when he took the kick that lead to the goal. Of course we can argue that Saints should have wrapped it up by then, but you can't legislate for other people not doing their job correctly.
