  1. The smile on my face last night when he was doing this was huge Fabrice Fernandez reborn.
  2. I've personally put 'this season' in bold. When talking to others we're wondering if this season his mind's been elsewhere (a short distance to the north of Anfield maybe ?)
  3. Thanks
  4. Bump.

    Gary Lineker

Quote of the year for me, you've obviously never been there (I live there by the way, nice road and rail links though).

He's winning me round, primarily because he's starting to understand players strengths and has realised that the 'diamond' is not always the right choice. If he wasn't learning anything then I'd be worried.
  7. Man U to be winners of the league. Saints to finish somewhere around 10th to 12th (with a dire run of games until the start of October). All I really want this season though is to not be relegated and finish above Everton then I'll be happy.
  8. I've bookmarked this post for next summer as like you I almost 100% expect that this will happen (but I'd take Hojbjerg out of that list). With VvD, Bertrand and Forster it's just a matter of time as at some point they WILL be sold, I think we may keep Long for a while yet. Everything about Fonte is doing my head in though, how much of it is media bulls**t ? I can see him doing a Lambert though, and going back to Portugal for the final years of his career.
  9. Corrected your sentence for you
  10. God that's an insipid midfield (to think we had Schneiderlin and Wanyama once !) Edit: Just noticed you missed out Tadic. Edit 2: Just feeling depressed thinking that at one point in time we had Mane, Schneiderlin, Tadic and Wanyama
  11. A very interesting read started yesterday...
  12. Terrible for Turkey: A dictatorship and police state, foreign investment will dry up (although I expect some very good arms deals may be negotiated). Potentially Good for the Rest of Europe: Zero chance of Turkey joining the EU now, and a buffer zone between continental Europe and the Middle East.

Personally I don't believe it is. In his dream world Kim in king and I'm not sure how threatened he feels by a weapons system that no 'sane' individual would ever use ? However without our own nuclear weapon systems we can't be part of the nuclear club with the USA / Russia etc., they allow us to punch well above our weight globally (as does our respected legal system + other military assets, but as time goes by these are becoming diluted and weaker, one reason why military spending needs to be maintained if we want to have influence).

I was under the impression that it had already been renewed, some when in the late 00's ? I need to double check but I think this vote was pretty much just a vote of confidence and in no way effects the previous decisions made ? (and this is partly why Labour were against the vote occurring, as it can and will be used as a stick to beat them with ?)
  16. I won't rise to the click bait (but I so want to).
  17. Any admin / mods care to reply ?, thanks.
  18. Upwind, there's something about Crabb that I really like, he somehow feels genuine (however we know how this can be faked / manufactured all to well). With the task ahead over the next few years I think tried and tested politicians have the upper hand in the selection process, we need steady people who are by the books right now even though it's a little dull and uninspiring.
  19. She won't get it, and I have high hopes for her, it will 100% be May as Gove's shown how much of a snake in the grass he is (others are just bit part players, not well know / do not have enough gravitas). During the rounds of voting Leadsom will get knocked out at some point, she then needs to endorse May and fingers crossed she can be the UK's 1st ever female Chancellor of the Exchequer
  20. I'd prefer Andrea Leadsom, but it will never happen (although if it doesn't I think she should be our next Chancellor of the Exchequer), so for me it's May (I'm so tired of arrogant male egos and a lack of co-operation).
  21. +1 (because this forum still doesn't have the ability to 'like' a post)
  22. True... but I have us / the UK down as a Sandor Clegane.
  23. Conversely 'What doesn't kill you make you stronger'.
  24. +1 to you for the 'Hants and Dorset' bus at the start that my Granddad used to drive, brings back good memories.
