  1. He says he's sent correspondence to senior management, but why not just call the ticket office.
  2. Well this should be an interesting get together on the day the appeal is also due to be heard. May hear lots more come 3rd August. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/p/portsmouth/8842347.stm
  3. I certainly noticed this when I moved down here in October. The rental market is hugely inflated in that I find myself paying over £600 a month to rent a property that is probably only worth £125,000 or so. Landlords dream. Simple fact is Southampton is a good place to find employment and there aren't enough rental properties available.
  4. We will announce details of the membership scheme
  5. Good job we're getting a full time doctor. Nice one Nicola!
  6. Agreed. NZ is a much nicer place and has much nicer people, but it is certainly more difficult to find a job.
  7. I'd say avoid the east coast north of Sydney (like newquay but hotter for 1,500 miles). Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide are where i'd recommend spending most of your time.
  8. I think I pretty much know the opinion of everyone on this forum from the 1 million other threads about the club, communication, cortese blah bla blah. Please give it a rest.
  9. We know as well as anyone how difficult it is to get rid of players at the moment, especially useless ones. They dont have the money to pay them off so they'll have to stay.
  10. http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/private-parking-tickets Useful info and links here - specifically the already paid to have car release section under clamping near the bottom.
  11. I agree it's a bit rediculous, however a cap on immigration will have no effect on asylum numbers. Anyway as so many have correctly pointed out the asylum issue is completely irrelevent as its a welfare system failure.
  12. One out of three and another still on the cards. Should have put some money on it.
  13. I do see what your saying although I interpreted Dune's comments to say that ALL those who chose to go in to the public sector are only there because they are lazy etc, which is simply untrue. I dont think the people I refer to as deadwood make a delibertate beeline for the public sector as they see it as having better benefits and an easier ride etc, I simply think that they have not been removed from their jobs when it became apparent they couldn't do them because of a combination of over molly coddling and bad management. Overtime this now means that there is a huge level of inefficiency that those that are good have to work much harder to make up for. Also even more frighteningly some of this deadwood seems to made it into senior ranks as for too long many public sector departments have promoted those who provide long service, rather than those who are gifted and offer the most.
  14. I assume a doctors main role would be to assist in the prevention of injury in the first place. Just another cog in the fitness team who would also be able to give direct care in our own facilitities when needed. How many hours did the part-time doc do? If he was only there during games then going full time would be way more hours than feasible so you would have to look elsewhere.
  15. Completely disagree with Dune though in that there are many incredibly hard working people in the public sector who do a great job, but are often let down by the dead wood that is so hard to get rid of.
  16. It is just so hard to fire someone for not being good at their job in the public sector. That simply isn't a good enough reason for unions etc. Apparently it's your fault if they're no good and you should pay/support their development. So if you can blag your way through any probationary periods you are set.
  17. That was my understanding too but it seems there was some kind of dispute over who owned his registration.
  18. I would not say we lost two key players. One they did do a job but were by no means 'key' and two I highly doubt we lost them as I expect if we wanted them we would have bought them.
  19. In court today. Bit more clarity about the events. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/beds_bucks_and_herts/10439100.stm
  20. Holiday in Bavaria so sounds good to me. Then i'll be back in time to see us beat Bournemouth midweek.
  21. I swa Vince cable on Question time before the election and he said he could not rule out putting up VAT. I heard this and still voted lib dems and therefore do not feel they went back on any promises. I actually am for it, although I would like to have heard a plan to try and bring it back down in the long term.
  22. English for Football, Welsh for Rugby. One parent of either sort and family would disown me for not supporting Wales at Rugby. Don't mind being called british though. Lived in Scotland for 7 years. They are definitely Scottish.
  23. Wolves have done well to recoup their outlay. Would have taken him back for 750K.
