Never, Mr Turkish, have you spoken truer words.

Looking at our results this season it is clear what we need to do to win the League - just get all our matches played at 3 pm on a Saturday. When you look at it, so far this season we have played 9 Saturday games and have won them all bar WBA in which we drew. That makes it 25 points out of a possible 27 when we play at 3 pm on Saturdays. We have plajed 6 matches at other times // on other days and out of a possible 18 points have obtained just one. Can't we get all our matches rearranged to Saturday 3 pm and bob's your uncle the title is ours!!

Good call - especially if they get promoted.

I don't disagree with your assessment of Lallana last season .... but I never thought he would fit into the Liverpool team and so far I think I am being proved right. He was a big fish in a small pool when he was here. The team was built around him. He was never going to get the same treatment at Liverpool and his career is suffering because of it. I think that he is more likely to find himself at another "smallish" club and within a couple of years can see him somewhere like Norwich, Sunderland or Stoke. We will just have to agree to disagree.

Such a good signing that he is sitting on the bench all through the match when they need a win. What a waste of £25 million
-
So you think that Lallana was a good signing for Liverpool?
-
How times and opinions change!! According to you and that great strawman warrior CB Fry anyone who back in the summer questioned why Lallana was going to Liverpool needed their head examining. Lallana was a great player and anybody who questioned him making an impact at Liverpool was showing him great disrespect. I think that CB Fry even reckoned that questioning Lallana at Liverpool was showing great disrespect to our academy !! According to you 2 Brains of Britains there was no way that Lallana would be sitting on Liverpool's bench this season. Don't you know that "Lallana was in the PL team of the season" - well I think you know that as you reminded us of this constantly in the summer. How opinions change!!!

I agree with the sentiments in that blog. Clarke has acted in a dignified and admirable way since Phil Hughes's death. I wonder if he now regrets his threat to "break your f ing arm" to Jimmy Anderson.
-
Hope so. I said the same at Villa last week and v Citeh on Sunday

When you consider the relative fortunes of the 2 clubs , I reckon that Corpy , Mero and the rest are right. We are just jealous of them !!!!

My thoughts exactly!!

My thoughts exactly. Far better than the normal drivel that he comes up with.

Nice to see that you agree with the description of yourself as a d ickhead,
-
Just amazing how a couple of d ickheads can turn a feelgood thread into a bickering w ankfest.

I agree that it would be great to see him back ....but I have no sympathy for him leaving in the first place. It may have been his boyhood club but Liverpool have no idea of how to get the best out of him under the tactical genius that is Brendan Rogers. The move to LIverpool may well cost him his England squad place. Get him back and let him be a lesson to anyone else wo thinks the grass is greener away from SMS.

I normally agree with what you write but this time I do disagree. I fully appreciate that we have to play many of the " big clubs" but at the moment is that a problem? Do Everton scare you atm? They certainly do not scare me. Man U have an awful away record this season so we should not suppose that we will lose when we play them at home in a few weeks time. We have already won at the Emirates this season so should not be assuming that we will lose when we go there. Man City are wobbling lately so again, I do not fear them. Chelsea may be a different proposition but I feel that 6 points against Leicester and Villa is what we need to concentrate on. If we get those so we end up with 28 points after 12 games, we can even afford to drop some points against the "big" clubs and still be challenging at the top of the table. On a point of pedantry , the Grand National is over 30 fences. As we are now over a quarter of the way through the season, we are the nag at the front of the field after 8 fences not 3 - and Bechers has been safely negotiated the first time round and we are still at the front of the field. :-)

Lovren doesn't care. He probably thinks he will be playing somewhere else next season. Lallana is too stupid to understand the league table. He is not too hot on numbers and doesnt realise that 22 points is bigger than 14. Lambert doesn't care. He is breathing Liverpool air and that is all that matters to him.
-
I think that in almost every other walk of life Lallana would have been considered to have achieved the "big money" when he signed a contract for (reputedly) £50k a week for 5 years at Saints. Only in modern day football is this perceived not to be the case.
-
Exactly. He has thrown away the opportunity of being regarded in the same light as MLT. If he had stayed he would never have had to buy a drink in Southampton again. As it is, he will probably never be able to set foot in the city again without getting some form of abuse. I am sure that deep down he is a nice lad. I think he is just a bit simple. A great shame that Western Saint is not close enough to him to give him some guidance.

If you hate this forum and the contributors so much why do you bother to post on here? An excellent article. Enjoyed reading that .

They certainly brought down loads of fans that night. I remember leaving SMS with their somng (was it called Good Night Irene??) ringing in my ears.

That match was part of my stag weekend. I can rewmember more of that match than the rest of the weekend. On Tuesday night I thught that that ref had come back to haunt us. Why do these refs seem to want to play on until Arsenal make it 2 - 2??
-
Don't care who we get in the next round. We will beat them. Impressed immensely by the Emirates stadium but their fans were so quiet. I thought it was summed up by the half time "entertainment" when some cocky fat kid asked Andy "wont be able to pick my nose" Linighan boring questions to which it was impossible to hear the answers. I reckon that lulled half the Arsenal fans to sleep and they only woke up at the end. Nothing can beat our half time relay races!!

You have hit the nail on the head with the older generation and the way that they pronounce foreign names. Niemi and Lundekvam were beyond my dad's pronounciation abilities. God knows how he will cope with Tony Autohearoldnihno. I blame it on his upbringing during the second world war.

I'm witing for Saint Charlie to make an appearance. He hasn't posted for over 24 hours now and only made a few posts yesterday (although in true Charlie style one of his posts was having a pop at the club re ticket prices). In the "mid summer crisis" that bloke was never off these pages seeing the dark side in every silver lining. I hope he hasn't done something silly to himself .... like starting to watch Pompey.
