  1. Post 45 on this thread reckoned that it would cost £12 million for an extra 8,000 seats. You reckon somewhere north of £24million. Get the firm answer to this question and then a more informed decision can be made about the financial viability of this idea.
  2. I understand your question. I wondered the same. I guess he means: Cost to expand Kingsland for 8,000 extra seats = £12 million (as quoted on Page 1). Extra crowd = 6 sellouts a season = 48,000 paying say £30 a ticket = £1.44 million. £12 million / £1.44 million = 8.33 years on a simple payback method. On the downside I am not too sure about the £12 million. I thought the costs would be higher than that - I am not an expert in construction costs . Also £30 net a ticket may be too optimistic - remmebr VAT and concession pricing. However I guess that we would see several games when we would not fill the extra 8,000 seats - but we may see them half full. The liokes of Everton or Villa So I reckoned that 5-6 years was a bit optimistic but I could see an arguement that there would be a payback in 8 or so years.
  3. The great news is tha you can still get 125/1 on them being promoted this seaaon. That is going to look a steal when they start their their play off push.
  4. One of the justifications for moving to a new stadium so many years ago was the claim that we would get extra commercial income through the hospitality boxes. In our early SMS days in the Premiership they always seemed to be full. I can appreciate that their popularity would diminish as we slid down the league but surely by now we should be seeing demand exceeding supply and most if not all of them of them should be occupied? Yesterday barely half the boxes were occupied. This has been the case for most of this season. Any idea why so many of the boxes are unoccupied? Did the evil Emperor make them unaffordable or is there another reason? I woud imagine this is one of the areas which RK will look at in his desire to increase commercial income.
  5. According to Skate player on Solent, the penalty against them today was unbelievable. It was never a penalty. Has there ever been a fair penalty against them?
  6. Why don't they appoint Maradona??
  7. A crowd of 12k will not have helped the cash flow. 1 shot on target and 3 off target compares unfavourably with their opponents who managed 9 and 14 shots. They really are a shower of s hit. It is very congested at the bottom. The bottom 2 both managed wins showing that there may be life in them yet.It could get very interesting if they were to win their games in hand.
  8. Its all right. Portsmouthnil have given up scoring goals for Lent
  9. But you have posted 22 times and said the same thing every time.
  10. Join London saints. Its a great way to meet other Saints and you will be made welcome.
  11. The first stadium to have public executions of internet trolls.
  12. Sorry - perhaps I misled a little. The penalty was saved and Molyneux scored with the rebound. He hadn't taken the original penalty.
  13. What is "Mo Po" 's record now? You haven't quoted any of your statistics tonight. By my reckoning he has lost nine out of nine now - if you ignore all the matches which he hasn't lost.
  14. Yeah. I mean you cant have a moan about anything and everything. No moaning threads that you can start. Its a real bummer when we win isn't it. Never mind your skates got a brave point today so its not all bad is it?
  15. and Stanley missed a penalty!!
  16. A strange comment about a team comfortably in ninth position.
  17. If only we had 'arry back as our manager!!
  18. Portsmouthnil draw again. Another 2 points dropped and not a good result for them considering Wycombe's, Accrington's ,Bristol Rovers' and Mansfield's results. Even Northampton got a point away to the team in second position. They are certainly some way from being safe whilst they are leaving their play off push rather late.
  19. Is there a possibility that England could play Argentina in the World Cup? If so, we wii be able to see how Adam Lallana makes Messi look s hite
  20. I go along with this ... but would also like to see the position with Ramirez resolved. We either need to get rid and replace with better or properly assimilate him into the team. I suspect we will get rid.
  21. Lovren will be going nowhere if he plays many more games like last saturday and attracts the same bad reviews. Didn't Hanson pick him out for stick on MOTD?
  22. Do you think he will? Has he ever mentioned it?
  23. I am not sure how many of the last 18 games we have won. Does anybody on here know?? It may have been mentioned occasionally on here but I am not sure.
  24. If this doesn't earn a few mong board infraction points for needless, pointless sarcasm and general unpleasantness than nothing will.
