  1. After his poor show against Liverpool, I never understood why they signed him from us. Any ideas?
  2. This is McQueen's chance, we have a coach who will bring him on well, then we can sell him for several million
  3. Welcome Mauricio, this is what you've taken on. Any chance you will stop the rot?
  4. Invested in the squad? No chance. What world do you live in? Sorry, I wish it was not like that.
  5. We are not in London, never will be, and this is the consequence. so be it, we are doing well
  6. It just shows that Cortese knew what he was doing even if the fans and Lawrie Mac rubbished it. Anyway that's history, welcome Mauricio!
  7. Our 'set up' has taken us from the pits of bankruptcy in the lower division to relative wealth in the top half of the top league and Les has been the only constant factor. Just saying
  8. Why would Dyche want to leave Burnley where he is established and respected? He wouldn't be as secure here. And it certainly wouldn't be a popular choice
  9. Because people mix him up with Manuel Pellegrini
  10. Can't understand the talk about Howe or the Burnley fellow. They are happily settled doing a good job, unlikely to want a sideways move, or any move. Because they fit where they are, doesn't mean they would slot in somewhere else, we are not predators anyway.
  11. That's right. Lawrie Mac called him 'a young lad that can't speak English' and blamed NC because he didn't know football
  12. Not Eddie Howe, he is Bournemouth through and through, he is not going to fit anywhere else, his heart is there, its a love affair, let it be. Anyway there are better for us out there
  13. Is Black still there?

    Les Reed

We will have new owners soon, we will have new manager soon. Les Reed will be the only continuing factor to carry on the successes of the last six years. the rush to ditch him is suicidal
  15. Howe has a love affair with Bournemouth and they with him. Let them get on with it. That sort of thing is not transferrable.

    Les Reed

Les is the one stable unchanging figure in our rise from bottom of Lg1 to top half of the Premier Lg during which we have seen wonderful players and had wonderful managers. Who could foresee such success ten years ago? Carry on Uncle Les please, see us through this difficult patch too
  17. Juanmi has done well since leaving us

    Puel out

I am changing my mind about Puel. I have been disappointed with home form, bored by negative play, fed up with hie lack of communication skills and generally uninspired. After the Stoke match I was convinced we wouldn't see him again and thankl goodness for that. But i have listened to friends who follow Newcastle, others who follow B'ham and to the pundits who all seem amazed that we could even think about getting rid of the man who took us to 8th and to Wembely in his first season. And he was dealt a terriblr haand with the pricey replacemeents for Mane and Wasnyame not up to much and the main goalscorer and principal defender injured for long spells. Perhaps he deserves a secopnd year and the chace to get some of his own choice in and the misfits out.
  19. Wenger will never manage anyone other than Arsenal. Anyway he is retirement age. He will become an Arsenal 'ambassador' or 'consultant' and do some scouting
  20. I've still got my Dell seat but the turf blended in with the rest of the garden and can't be idebtified any more. I've got a penny programme from 1947, single sheet with just the players named and numbered 1-11, Sells for several quid now!
  21. How else should it have happened?
  22. You are right about Yoshida, not far off player of the season, my second choice anyway.
  23. While there is uncertainty about who the owners will be and what their investment (if any) will be, I can not imagine a top manager taking the job, and maybe new owners wilkl want to appoint their own choice anyway. Looks like an anxious summer to me.
  24. Yes, it's the feeling that the players are unsure what to do that gets to me. they play as if they haven't seen each other before. When they get the ball they have a long look around to see who is where. I get so frustrated and I think they do too.
  25. Please NOT the relegated chap from Hull, their recent games have been worse than ours
