Several players have improved this season, JWP Cedric Yoshida Romeo while McQueen and Stephens have made a mark and given good cover. That is our own key players growing. I guess that is why we chose a manager who coaches. i would have preferred someone with more PR savvy but I am now convinced the right decision was made and he will stay longer than most and build something good without breaking the bank

He went for the bigger money and he's got it, so he's probably happy. It's hard to live on only £60.000 a week, poor fellow.
-
Berkovic was a rogue, even West Ham had to get rid, but he did have one or two good games before that. Most foreigners, unless your name is Gabbiadini, take a while to adapt to the Premier League some don't settle -Di Mario- some take a while -Ozul-maybe Boufal will adapt, I am more confident of Hojberg, I sense a different and better attitude from him
-
Yoshida has put in a great stint for us, must be close to player of the season, he is under valued on this site. Yes, if Caceres is match fit it is strsnger we haven't seen him.

Marsden was funny--and good

James Ward-Prowse for England? ...say that again ...

It is strange that the three most heavily criticised Saints players on this forum JWP, Redmond and FF are chosen in the England squad. What does this say about England selectors--or about our judgement of our own? -
We've moved on, he is the one with the problems now
-
Loyalty? We're still here, following and supporting the team, past present future. That's loyalty

Charlie Wayman, yes, I know that shows my age but it was a sensational signing and he did wonders, every kids hero, especially me

Who Do We Choose To Ship Out This Summer?
Dellman replied to View From The Top's topic in The Saints
I am pleased the decisions are not made by this forum -
It was also Leicester that took VVD out--for the season. And to think I was cheering them on last year, hope they rot this year!
-
Not only would the media be all over it, but imagine what Mourino would be saying...conspiracy theories against him and other paranoia, but it happened to us---who cares?
-
It's taken a lot out of me, i begin to understand Wwhy players are rested frequently

Proud to be a Saints fan today. Reckon every neutral watching on TV will now be an admirer of Saints. As for Yoshida and Stephens, we all had our doubts, reckon they did well, not perfect but miles better than expected against vast and expensive talent. Fonte? We proved we can manage without him, he'd probably have given away a penalty

Presumably you mean not dream, I understand why you need a good staff around you
-
Ever--Charlie Wayman, I was 12 and got his autograph 20 times, on the last occasion he spoke and said 'Have I seen you somewhere before?' Made my day.
-
JWP is one of our own and that means a lot to me, I feel he loves the Club, but I thought nthat about Nivea Boy, so what do I know. Anyway JWP followed by Ryan
-
Yes, obviously things went wrong, now they are puttiing it right. what's the fuss?

I don't understand the OP. We have enjoyed an unequalled run of five years steady rise from the pits and bankruptcy to the premiership, Wembley and financial stability and they want the architect of it OUT. Of course there will be blips on such a journey and this is one of them. Don't panic, better to recommend Les for a knighthood after what he has done for us.

What has happened to Pellegrini? He was interviewed for our job but Puel was preferred. I wanted Pellegrini, ands I still do
-
If they leave, they are deserters to be booed, if they stay they are not ambitious, I admire Yoshida for staying, he deseves his chance and he will do a good job
-
When RL left us he effectively ended his career, sad end, but it was his decision and he has to live with it. Thanks for the past, but that's it.
-
Can't see who will score. Happy to be wrong
-
Sir Alf captained England and then managed them to world cup victory, what more does he need to do, to get on the banner?
-
Pellegrini was interviewed in the summer and is still available. I would have chosen him and he might draw top players instead of losing them.
