I really hope we keep him. We want to get into the habit of keeping our best players, not just being a shop window for others. It would be mad to sell him in Jan especially if we are in for a bottom half battle
-
I am not comparing PEH to Morgan's performances in a Saints shirt. I am seeing Morgan as he is today, he can not live on his reputation of years past. We select players on current form. Morgan would not get in ouy team now, that's all.
-
With PEH and Lemina to call on. Mogan wouldn't be near our team now

I knnow it's not quite on topic but did Branfoot ever get another job anywhere?
-
My memory of the Branfoot nightmare is that the Board (Askham) were supporting hin right through, it was the supporters campaign which turned it round and led tohis departure and Alan Ball's return
-
We've been so busy stocking up centre halves we haven't got room for that in the sock piling we have forgotten the real need in any football team---someone to put the ball in the net.
-
Mr. Gao, who are you?
-
When he ran off that was the fastest I've seen him move all season
-
It's pathetic to have to bring him on in the last minute, to take a corner. We had nine corners (to one) and they were all wasted. how much are these guys paid and they can't clear the first defender at a corner!
-
Romeo was last year's strong man, but where is he this year? seems anonymous by last year's standards
-
Waste of space and time--not Hojberg--but the OP
-
I don't feel any angst about Brighton or Bournemouth--just pleased the South coast is well represented. Now Pompey, oh that's a different matter altogether
-
I am not angry with Poch, I am angry we forced NC out and Poch followed, they would have been dynamic pairing, one off the field one on
-
Remember that the feel good factor 'from tea lady to playing staff' was also in the days of the much maligned Nicola who brought Poch. When Nicola left, Poch said the project he came to build was finished and he left too

\its so loud there is no way I can hear what the guy next to me is trying to tell me and no way I could reply if I did hear him

Someone says 'wonder if MLT would like the job? Thanks for the memories Matt but thhis would spoil it, genius on the field, bit of mug off it. We need more than the heart in the right place and present leadership has served us amazingly well over last few years.

NC inherited a club on bad times, not only bankrupt. But with warring factions who had all tried and failed to get things in order. NCdecided all those factions inc LMc who was still taking the club's freebies alongside others should go. Matt LeT had made failed attempt to find finance and become chairman. The old regime had failed. A clean sweep was necessary and thanks to Markus and NC we got it.

When he plays again (sooner the better) I shall bury all my disappointment and disapproval and regard him as a Saint wearing the shirt and playing for my team. I am willing to believe that he was misguided by a greedy agent who thought we were a soft touch. He probably regrets what has happened, he was certainly badly advised and lets leave it at that and trust he plays so well that we rise the table and get £90m for him next summer. And they all lived happily ever after.

What on earth is the obsession with Les Read? He has delivered, with the Liebherrs, the best Saints years starting from absolutely nothing. And look where he has led us, if that is not amazing success, what is the expectation? And it has all been done on a lightweight budget compared with the bankrolled top six. It has been a long progression, the Reed Out people don't seem to appreciate the steady rise to success. What's the matter with them? What and who do they want?
-
I wouldn't call what any DoF has to cope with 'cushy' especially at St Mary's this summer. Uncle Les earns every penny and a bonus I should think
-
At least he won't moan as much as Tadic
-
The long contracts have paid their first dividend. I trust and hope this is the beginning of the new era of keeping our best players. It will be so much easier to build the squad one at a time gently over a period rather than needing three replacements urgently every summer. Les, you are playing a blinder, thanks a million.
-
What ever Les Reed does will be slated on this forum. The fact is that in his time we have gone from near bottom and bankruptcy top near top and affluence and I've seen the most cheering years since I started at the Dell post war. Why don't they stop moaning and give him a medal? Must be some very disturbed people on this site, hope their marriages are ok
-
This forum doesn't know when it is well off. Mane and Wanyama used to get slated mercilessly. No surprise Cortese got same treatment and so its natural Les Reed gets it too
