Indeed, he could have gone further and said that black people are over represented in football in terms of the proportion of black players to the population. No doubt there may be factors why black people excel in football and rightly achieve their potential, and on the opposite side of the coin, good reason why black people / Asian people / females /etc don't do so well in certain areas of society.
