  1. Good post mate - Enjoy the rest of the season. Still would be decent to see us Brighton and you guys come up in the playoffs.
  2. I think if you look at most challenging teams at the ends of seasons, across most divisions, they don't usually produce the most amazing form. Titles and promotions are often won by the teams that can grind out a result whilst not playing well and that's what it's all about at this stage. With the games piling up and the squads stretched It's hard to play with the freshness and quality that you play with early season. TBH what we're doing at the moment is something that i've not associated with Saints in my supporting life.
  3. Hudders are very stretched at the moment. As well as Pilkington being out, they've now lost Kay - their CB, for a good month or so. I think they'll feel the strain if I'm honest and just come up short in the end. It's easy to say ''I don't know where P'boro will drop points'' at the moment - as they're winning most weeks, but there was a thread about Charlton a few months ago ''They're our biggest challengers'' etc. A month of defeats and draws for them and they are out of any promotion race. The amount of away games they have left is crucial and with our games in hand and our home games....we should have enough to do it, and hopefully before the last game of the season too!
  4. 1-0 to you, caught out the pendant.
  5. Think we need someone with experience tbh. - someone who's been there and done it. Lee Carsley? Not sure if he's injured, but hasn't played for Cov. for a while.
  6. Nah, not really. Couple of hairy moments but it sounded like the 2nd half was ours - pretty much controlled it tbh.
  7. Sounds like a loan midfield signing is imminent.
  8. Adkins playing it down. ''3 goals, 3 points, onto the next one. That's all'' well said...lol
  9. He's got the right people around him now, that's for sure.
  10. def. an improvement though Baj, there have been times when the forum would be unavailable for an hour after the match - but it's really responsive now. ....although is that because we won, and there's nothing to moan about?
  11. Bit harsh mate? I hope it's been said in jest...? By listening to the commentary he actually came on and made a bit of a difference for us, holding the ball up, getting stuck in etc. He showed a silly bit of inexperience to get sent off though - he'll learn from that.
  12. Better than usual Baj (no database errors that i could see) But i couldn't get back on the forum in the 2nd half - kept timing out for me (connection to server timed out etc). It does load eventually...if you have the patience to keep refreshing!
  13. It's slightly better than it used to be - but still poor really.
  14. Oh yes - great win. Apart from the electric start by them in the first 10 mins we were comfortable, sounded like a bit of a stalemate in the first half really - but the 2nd half was ours, much more threat down the flanks and Lallana started to dictate the tempo of the game. Kind of how I felt it would pan out - we'd end up picking them off a bit when they started to tire. Bloody annoying with the others winning - Still! - but we can't worry too much about other results, because it's still completely and utterly in our own hands. We're so close to 2nd - I can almost touch it...let's go out and finish the job now.
  15. I wish merrington was our manager, we would walk the league with his insight.
  16. Fully expect Bournemouth to start the 2nd half very strongly, but if we defend and keep the shape as we have been we'll be ok. We can then pick them off later on in the game when I'm sure they'll be totally exhausted. (mentally and physically hopefully). Very nicely poised.
  17. We have not been capable of taking corners for ages. Except against Swindon a week or so ago.
  18. that and not buying Mackail-Smith!
  19. P'Boro's next few games - they will not win all of these. Tuesday, 15 March 2011 Npower League One Sheff Wed v Peterborough, 19:45 Monday, 21 March 2011 Npower League One MK Dons v Peterborough, 19:45 Friday, 25 March 2011 Npower League One Bristol Rovers v Peterborough, 19:45 Friday, 1 April 2011 Npower League One Peterborough v Bournemouth, 19:45 Tuesday, 5 April 2011 Npower League One Dag & Red v Peterborough, 19:45 Saturday, 9 April 2011 Npower League One Huddersfield v Peterborough, 15:00
  20. Sounds an even game to me, apart from the first 5-10mins. Bit huff-puff from both sides and little quality at the moment. I don't think anyone is getting outplayed at the moment, I think this is what you call a stalemate at the mo...needs a spark to win it, and you'd argue that we have more of those in our sides.
  21. Have a look at their up-coming fixtures....they will drop some points.
  22. But if it's already struggling, the site will be offline by half-time.
  23. We've not turned up yet have we....?
