This 2nd half is as bad as we've played all season, actually for a long long time. Although Chelsea have stepped it up.

''The Optimists''. Excellent. Happy clappers was so last year. But I agree, it's bloody hard to be optimistic when we've only managed to get to 7th in the PL within 5 years. Such a hard time being a Saints fan, that's for sure.

Results seem us drop a fair bit over the last few weeks, bit of a shame. But the fixtures have played a part. It's a bit frustrating that we play the likes of Chelsea, Man City, Arsenal and Spurs all in close succession.

It just seems that most weeks he predicts us to lose, which others have picked up on. I made a comment in jest regarding that. It's nothing dramatic really is it? Not sure why you're getting into a fluster about it. Odd.

I never really understand it when things like this are stated, when we've shown no requirement for any money from player sales, why would we be nuts not to take it? We can still improve the side without selling him, and we wouldn't be able to sign anyone even close to his ability, so it's just a hollow £30m really.

It's a great article, and some of the preparation is extreme - but it works like a dream and having this sort of level of dedication is the only way clubs like us can sneak in to get success. Spurs are being utterly trashed. Don't see AVB lasting much longer. Negredo is an absolute class act though, to think he was close to joining Hull 3 years ago.

Would imagine Morgan will drop back into Victor's role, and Davis will come in place of him. JWP will probably play Morgans role, and Davis the AMC. Midfield is one area we really don't have to worry about depth wise.

Don't think so. Boruc was an idiot, Giroud had all rights to make him look silly there. I think he's a mental case, but he's our mental case! Look at his eyes, and the random talking to himself in matches! He's what you'd call a flawed genius, that's for sure.

Why so brittle? He's played less than 10 games for us, and people are writing him off. It's stupid, and misguided. But it seems to be the modern-day way of thinking. I mean, we had threads saying that Rodriguez was a waste of money 4 weeks after we'd signed him last year, contributed to by the same people. A pretty stunning coup for us to get him, really. He's a massive player. He will do frustrating things at times, as he's still only 21 remember! Easy to forget, as he plays with such power and maturity.

Alpine has probably posted more in the last 3 hours, than he has during our entire unbeaten streak.
