  1. Was probably underrated as a player despite all the tributes being paid tonight. I remember talking to him in The Dell car park after the FA Cup match in 1977 when as a youngster I was collecting autographs. He was the Chelsea captain at the time but happy to sign autographs and talk. He told me he was a great fan of Peter Osgood as a player, who at the time he was rumoured to be unsettled with Saints. I was a bit surprised even then how open Ray Wilkins was talking about it, said he'd love to see him back at the Bridge, couldn't see it happening, but we'd certainly miss him if he left us. At the time I thought Wilkins a nice bloke, but it was some years later when I fully appreciated the fact he'd taken time to talk when he could easily have walked past to get into the warm coach (this was early January). Contrast this with a fast forward to 2005 when my son was looking to collect autographs and the attitude of the modern players.
  2. Perhaps Reed and Wilson will be shown the door.
  3. Jokanovic. If Fulham don't go up.

    Ross Wilson

Must admit I have also wondered what made him a suitable candidate as we were linked with him for about 12 months before he joined. Looking back at Huddersfield's signings I couldn't see anything that stood out at the time to suggest a track record. It's like many Les recruits, and it sometimes seems a case of the Emperors Clothes, Les "sees" something and all others go along with it. But it has to be asked, who had heard of Paul Mitchell prior to his arrival, and what track record did he have? Credit to Les (or Cortese) perhaps for that selection.

    Les Reed

As did virtually everyone at the time of his appointment.

It also critiscises the managerial appointments, so without mentioning him, it does point at Reed.
  8. Yet another feeble apology. This time from one of our regular non-performers. Just f^cking perform on the pitch, not interested in the post match soul searching, and the "boys will give it 110% to make amend". Echoes of regular Lundekvam interviews in 2005.

As is the striker situation. And the GK position. Bit of a pattern emerging.
  10. Romeu like may others under Pellegrino has gone backwards this season and not looked a patch on the player he has been over the last two seasons., although still a better option than the pairing of Lemina (two **** ups, giving away possession and goals in consecutive league games) and Hojberg. But what is the position re Romeu and his bookings? Several people have suggested he might be being held back pending an amnesty after 9 bookings. Be interested if anyone can expand on that, what are the implications of another (10th) booking in the next match, when this amnesty ends, and the effect of another booking after that time.
  11. Niedwicki (sp) & Bowen to make shock comebacks then ?

Isn't Jeremy Wilson at The Telegraph meant to be the 'club's voice' in putting up articles for them ? If so, can anything further be read into this? Apart from stating publicly what many fans have been saying over the last two seasons.
  13. or drop them... Problem is he might have been talking about the whole team.
  14. The problem is multiplied by the person who ends up conducting the transfer negotiations to get deals done...
  15. If Fulham go up, and by pass us on the way, it will also bugger any plans to recruit Jokanovic who might have been our best option to get out of that division. But never mind, Les will have all angles covered.
  16. Spending f^ck all on a replacement though in August though..!! Only to get worse by allowing Pellegrino to bring in Carillo for £19m .. But no taken in isolation selling Rodriguez is not one of his greatest errors.
  17. not just the quality to concern ourselves with, but organisation and team spirit. Two areas we lack this season,
  18. Still too lightweight, even at that level.
  19. Just realised it was after the Liverpool match (as long ago as that) : Les Reed is a **** Pelligrino is a **** Ross Wilson is a trainee **** The team - predominantly a bunch of useless ****s. Pellegrino remains in there as the influence of his poor coaching and management remains. Not sure any manager would find it easy to coach out his influence and fear factor when they get on the pitch.
  20. This is the alarming aspect, no real desire or fight. Just about every other team in the mix look capable of rolling sleeves up and battling for the cause (WBA aside), but we have a bunch of precious cushioned pansies too easily brushed off the ball, and politely taking being second best. What happened to the Lemina from Marseille who punched an opponent in the nuts? Although we don't need a Prutton moment from him, some greater aggression would be welcome. Romeu is probably the one with most drive but is currently on the bench.
  21. It'll be a bloody long march back.
  22. As said after our loss at Newcastle, and probably before; bunch of c^nts. And the biggest c^nt of all, is the smug bloated bald muppet, Reed.
  23. Plus £19m on Carrillion... Reed, Wilson... muppetry at it's best.
  24. Hoedt - rapidly becoming Jos Hoiveldt MK II , without the personality.
  25. Yes, the worst 45 minutes since the first half at Newcastle. At least we're consistent at something - being sh!t. As for the SF, if I get our tickets, yes still up for it, the Cup is littered with upsets, and with our lot playing for their own piece of glory, and a move in the summer, who knows? Ok so we should get tonked, but its a SF, and Wembley. Might not get there again for a while, apart from JPT or equivalent in 2021 perhaps.
