  1. I thought this debate was concluded when there was a suggestion of Sam Haman taking Wimbledon to Dublin. Quite simply, No.
  2. ripple
  3. Driving home the other night I heard "Hey Baby" on the radio . I know Newcastle adapted it a few years ago for Shearer but the "Jay" substituted for " hey" should give an easy route into a good song. Personally would still like the 80's classic "can't get enough" going at St Mary's.
  4. Lazy bastard , he should be at the Euro's. How will we cope in the Prem with a part-timer in charge.
  5. Except that Clyne, as I understand it, is out of contract so Palace can not negotiate on wher he goes. There might be some 'compensation' due to Clyne's age so that may be a slight opportunity for us, but again, don't think we can enter into negotiations with payers going there until Clyne has signed.
  6. Holland
  7. Some interesting observations from the Burnley chap there wmsaint. Don't disagree regarding Fox, time will tell about Cork but not sure Chaplow in the prem, cm or out wide. Perhaps we should go back for Trippier, just to **** Eddie, and the Burnley & Boscombe Athletic fans off once more.

  9. surrender
  10. Disregard my post above:
  11. Plant (as in Le Plante, well actually the name Lusardi came to mind first) This below made I laugh....... (deserving of a whole new thread I'm sure).
  12. "Many people" thought Peter Rodrigues past it, and a strange decision when he signed.Did not turn out too badly.
  13. Probably a fair summary of our LB options.
  14. Do we need a LB ? I do accept the 'improve' and signing 'better than we already have' policy of course but there are other more important areas to recruit for.
  15. whirl
  16. He's won everything going with Barcelona and for Spain. Bloke clearly needs a new challenge, but unlikely we'd persuade said bloke to realise it and do the obvious thing and join us.
  17. Actually the plain white back for Reading is a recent development. Sorry, you're not quite as unique as you'd like to think. I'm not bothered if we have the 'same' r&w traditional stripes as another club providing it is our traditional kit. But yes, would love it, really love it, for a return to the air florida kit.
  18. "Fields of Athenry" , about some poor Irish bloke being transported to Australia due to English landowners and politicians during the potato famine. Strange how they don't mind using the famine as a convenient backdrop to sing about their 'martyr's' , but find reference to it by Rangers fans as offensive.
  19. Which one ? Club shop has some (KK era, ridiculous red one with white 'Sue Ellen shoulders', 1976. or try Toffs.
  20. F^ck off - many of us are still stuck in the 1980's and have not reached S-club yet.
  21. You may be right, but it was equally nauseating then as it is now.
  22. As did David Armstrong. But the link does not end there as both were left sided midfielders.Adkins take note.

    The mantra...

It strikes me as a sort of psychological profiling or identikit for potential recruits
  24. Watching the Rep of Ireland/Eire game tonight, wondered if our kit is a red version similar to theirs ie contrasting red columns, with a pinstripe (in their case gold, in ours white). Crap if it is.
