    Dowie

Would prefer Tisdale to Dowie frankly. But Dowie is a better option than Ince.So on that basis I'm fairly indifferent to his possible appointment.
  2. Does that make you a 'cereal' spiller ?
  3. Same was said of Burley to some degree.I see Curbishley as another of yesterdays men, unlikely to reach the same heights again. As for the 'guv'nor',I really hope that if nothing else,MLT does have an intense dislike of the f^cker,to keep him away from Saints.
  4. I thought that was Dyer.
  5. Can't see that working frankly. Both are pretty headstrong characters, and I doubt Ince would have anyone tell him or advise him on anything. KK is experienced and has contacts through the game so could make a DoF,but I've always seen him as a 'player's manager' rather than a suit in the boardroom.
  6. And more Exeter on another thread : http://www.exeweb.com/forums/showthread.php?t=32598
  7. Just a few views from an Exeter site : http://www.exeweb.com/forums/showthread.php?t=32629 Some interesting comments.
  8. Is it possible that memberships have been suspended this season due to the fact we are approaching season ticket sales etc so late on that it would be a logistic nightmare to process it all now ? Don't agree with the decision as I too was going for a membership this season.
  9. But we couldn't approach Exeter or Tisdale yet,as 'we' do not have a club to run until Begbies Traynor officially say we do.There is no reason however to stop prospective owners talking to available candidates about hypothetical vacancies.
  10. Do we need, or will place two former high profile players on the same board ?
  11. An excellent selection, and would be reasonably happy with any of those creations esp. the Keegan era home shirt.
  12. WGS..it would be a mistake to go back imo. Shearer..no experience of note. Curbishley should join Ince in the 'f^ck off' file.
  13. Keegan would be a phenominal appointment, just for the impact, confirmation of ambition and expectation it would bring. Tisdale would be an appointment showing a long term comittment to rebuilding. After those two I can't be optimistic over the names put forward.Shearer has no track record and Ince would be a sorry state of affairs, merely appointing a 'name' for the sake of it.
  14. I think it is entirely possible to monitor his and his progress without watching Exeter. We do afterall support and follow another club. Ottery will I'm sure give you a low down on Exeter under PT if you so desire it.
  15. Totally agree,he papers over the cracks by his own self publicity.
  16. Ideal, but can't see KK wanting a DoF role somehow.
  17. TSW....The Echo.....SSN. Not too difficult to spot a chain emerging is it ? On the other hand it may of course be true.
  18. Crossed my mind on reading the original article,is it all three of them or seperate photos.I just couldn't believe they would be stupid enough to try and dupe people with seperate photos !
  19. I initially thought the same as you. But the Echo do have a photograph - or so they tell us,I've not seen it - and a quote from Crouch to try and add some credence to their article.
  20. I agree with you.Whatever misgivings over Wotte's involvement to begin with I think he has conducted himself well in difficult circumstances since the announcement of admin.
  21. I was looking forward to the new era with some optimism, and had prepared to take the youngsters to the first home game, but Millwall ? Perhaps rethink is required.
  22. Huddersfield at home.

    Tisdale

We are aiming higher, but we need the right calibre of manager to fulfill that ambition. I would certainly opt for a manager with some experience and potential - and who is known to play a passing game - than a manager who has been 'recycled' a few times. NickG's post offers a good summary. No doubt Delldays you were/or would have been in a rage at Lawrie's appointment.Stan Anderson at Middlesboro' had far greater experience afterall. We obviously took the cheap option.
  24. So that is two interviews that have been conducted according to informed posters on here.KK and Ince. Fair play to MLT,if true, on casting the net.
  25. No.Tisdale has a track record of success - promotions to be precise -at clubs with limited or no resources. Ince on the other hand is a charlatan.Sorry, can't think of an idiotic current phrase, idiom, or rhyming slang word to match your effort. He invented his own 'image' as 'guv'nor but went missing when men of true leadership were needed in a penalty shoot out. His management career is based on Ray Mathias who knows the lower leagues at both Macclesfield and MK ( where the team was built by Martin Allen). Long term, Tisdale has more to offer than most other candidates imho.
