So he did say the lines reported , but not all in one interview and also said other stuff that wasn’t reported? This makes it better, how? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

**** me, some of you lap it up. Misquoted my arse, more likely an off the record chat, put on the record against his wishes. You only have to look at his clarification statement , it’s full of pony. “I came across as a spoilt brat who was only busy looking at options to make a transfer in winter, but I’m not. It was not my words and I would never say that.” **** off, you were a spoilt brat all summer , were only busy looking at transfer options and you would ****ing say that. “My focus is entirely on Southampton, I work hard on training and competitions and have respect for the club “ You’ve have shown a complete lack of respect to the club, the supporters and your colleagues. Of which you said there was a few, implying not many. I bet you wouldn’t say away performances under Ron or Poch away were poor ,”except for a few notable exceptions “. Boscombe,Watford,West Ham,WBA,Liverpool twice, Man C , Boro, Arsenal twice (although robbed by Madely in the league game), the cup final, Sunderland , were all excellent away performances. That maybe a few if you’re Manchester Utd, but it was one of the most consistent top flight away season in many a year. There were also more than a few home games that weren’t utterly ****ing tedious, there just wasn’t the barnstormers of the previous 3 seasons. You wrote “ utterly ****ing tedious “ since the start of last season. This is complete and utter pony & rewriting history. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Terrorist Attacks - WARNING: CONTAINS DISTRESSING IMAGES
Lord Duckhunter replied to sadoldgit's topic in The Lounge
Who on this thread has suggested this? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk -
You do realise that Matt has been retired 14 odd years and in that time the top flight has got quicker & quicker don't you? Mick Quinn scored a lot of goals , but that doesn't mean a fat twt would in 2017. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That’s because this is thread about terrorism, the clue is in the tittle. At the moment it doesn’t appear to be a terrorist attack and the authorities have said it isn’t . No doubt people will desperately try and call it such, as they don’t like the correct narrative that all terrorist attacks on the west are by Muslims . I don’t recall Michael Ryan or Thomas Hamilton being labelled terrorists back in the day. The IRA were terrorists, Baader-Meinhof were terrorists, Hamilton & Ryan were nut jobs . I can understand the EU not wanting us to have a better deal out of the EU than in it, but don't quite understand their logic of what a better deal is. If they think freedom of movement is such a great thing, surely free trade without it, is a worse deal than free trade with it as we have now. If they think that' us losing free movement is a better deal, why are they keeping free movement for their members? I'm pretty sure if they offered us membership without free movement, we'd accept ( I wouldn't , but I'm sure the majority would). Unless they're saying that they know not having free movement is better for individual countries, but are keeping it anyway. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Complete & utter pony. The myth of the “Mane thread” is starting to match the “Villa game” in Saints web folklore. It was nothing like this thread, unlike the Gaston one , which also had people making excuses, blaming the managers, injured, out of position, young, foreign country, not given a chance , before the classic “ clearly talented “ is stated. Like Gaston’s a year after his signing the excuses are still coming strong, and like Gaston will probably do so until he sneaks out the back door for **** all transfer fee. I’m not so sure, they’re a completely different type of club when it comes to appointing managers . They were talking about Koeman on sky Sunday morning and a journo said that sometimes English people don’t realise just what a big name he is abroad. They’re obsessed with Cruyff in Barcelona, with his link I wouldn’t rule him out. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

He’d walk in the England squad now. Every bit as good as Henderson & far better than Delph. As for the article, it wasn’t some random dig at Matt, just a response to him taking the ****. I’d imagine there’s a few pros from that era with the same opinion. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

So we wanted him to change his style of play, and because he wouldn’t got someone in who plays the exact same style, only worse. I presume the players he lost included VvD, whose shown exactly which side he’s on. Whereas the other players freed from the shackles of horrible Claude , have ,,,,,,,,,,,played a lot worse. Thierry Henry said if players listen & learn from Claude they’ll become better players, perhaps they thought they were too good to actually be coached and educated. I excuse OR who despite being a shadow of last seasons man, has credited Puel for his improvement. As for listening to the fans before making managerial decisions, have you heard some of our planks. Most people I speak to,and admittedly they’re all pretty much 50/60 year old blokes (who saw some of the really good away performances last season), thought he deserved another season. When a good 10% of the ground ****s off early before the end or misses the last 2 minutes of the first half to get a pie or **** weak beer down their necks, I don’t think we should take supporters views too seriously. At the moment it looks like a mistake . We should of backed Claude over the players & supporters. It’s not just the first team, there were signs with Stephens,Sims & McQueen that he was developing these guys and, more importantly, playing them. I’m sure he felt secure in his job, and therefore took a chance on them. This guys on a hiding to nothing, he’ll have to go with the tried & tested , hoping it’ll come good. Take a chance with a nipper or drop an established player & lose a few he’s in trouble . The board have already shown they’ll buckle to player power or fan power, he won’t take the chance. The ramifications of this knee jerk decision will be felt for a while yet, We’re not Watford, changing managers every season may not work for us. It certainly isn’t conducive to developing young players Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Can we merge this thread with the Gaston one? Same arguments, same excuses and probably the same outcome. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

We used to have the same excuses & pony for Gaston. Here’s the simple truth, he’s been so poor that 2 different managers haven’t given him much game time despite our appalling lack of creativity. As bad as Redmond is, 2 managers preferred him. They didn’t do that because they’re told to by Les,they don’t like him, they’re idiots or any other nonsense, it’s because he’s **** poor. A lot of you are looking at this from the wrong end of the stick, instead of thinking why is Redmond playing instead of him, think how bad must he be that Redmond gets a game instead of him. And before anyone starts, he has had as many chances as anyone else. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
