  1. Bizarre . So mane doing well at Liverpool proves nothing. Doesn’t prove we sold him too cheaply? So if Puel wins a cup this season, then gets Leicester champions league football the next 5, it won’t prove a thing? I’ve no doubt if they’re relegated you won’t be saying it proves nothing. 2. He’s been a regular in a side that finished 8th,7th,6th then 8th again and has been regularly picked and appreciated by 5 different managers. Including THE bright young managerial talent of the present time , and one of the greatest players ever to have played the game. He is probably the most consistent outfield pro in the league who is not at a champions league club. I’ve no doubt had we not been doing so well, Europe, cup final and top 8 finishes year after year, he may well have wanted to move to a club that could offer him these things. And he’d have no end of takers. He’s well respected at every club he’s played for, and he’s well respected throughout the game, apart from a few planks on here. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  3. Outside of the champions league 6, any other team in England would want him. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. Mane sent home from international duty with reoccurrence of hamstring injury, fingers crossed it not just a precaution Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. He made the Euros which is more than you’d have thought 10 years ago. I’m just hoping he can end up skippering us to another cup final which we win. Will defo cement him as a Saints legend then. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. At least he was employed by Liverpool when he disrespected us, we’ve got a centre half who did so when we were paying his wages Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. I can’t believe the number of people who think Brighton will stay up Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. Brighton Swansea Palace or Huddersfield Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. Why would anyone decent want our job? Let’s imagine the board follow the advise from here and sack MP within the next couple of weeks. We’d have sacked a bloke who finished 8th after one season , then given his replacement about a dozen games. We also have new owners / partners. Doesn’t strike me as a particularly attractive proposition. Rodgers can either stay at Celtic, maybes in the Europa league, setting a record for consecutive unbeaten games, or move to a club whose moron fans want you out if you’re not playing sparkling football within a month. At the end of the season they’ll be 2 or 3 jobs available that’ll be a lot more attractive than ours has become. Obviously it won’t be an English champions league contender, but amongst our peers they’ll be a choice that’ll look a lot better .Still never mind at least Puel & MP will have been sacked. 10. Give the guy a break, nothing wrong with that at all. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  11. More pony. Puel didn’t ignore him, he had forced himself in the side before getting injured. To say Koeman ignored him, is stretching it. He was a new signing, we had Pelle & Mane and Long was in the form of his life the few months Koeman managed him. If you think no other teams premier league teams were interested in him, you really are a plank. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. Pony Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. “Some way behind”. Pony, their record is pretty similar. What is their comparative record of goals per minutes on pitch, my gut feeling is there won’t be much difference at all. Gabbiadini been pretty ineffective all season, yet gets a free pass on here. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. Most of the seasons since my first game (1969) were pretty much like the last couple in terms of my expectations. Even under Lawrie, I never thought we’d get many wins away from home. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  15. He really is down the pecking order for England. http://www.itv.com/news/anglia/2017-11-10/angus-gunn-norwich-city-goalkeeper-earns-first-england-senior-call-up/ Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  16. Before his injury there were signs last season that Charlie was adding more to his game than goals. His hold up play was ok and he was getting better at bringing other players into to game . It’s a pity he got injured as he looks like the type that needs games to maintain his sharpness. I got the opinion Claude didn’t really rate him, but lack of options & the woeful finishing of JRod & Long meant he was given a run. I doubt MP rates him much either, as he doesn’t look like his sort of striker. But maybe he’ll have to turn to him as Puel did. I’ve no doubt if he played for someone else & was available for 4/5 million a lot of our supporters would be calling for us to sign him. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  17. Good job he’s not playing or managing us then Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  18. And Lawrie and WGS. No other Southampton managers since the First World War though , which is surprising seeing how easy it is. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  19. Played him because his first and second choice were both injured. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  20. David pleat recommended Alli to Spurs not Mitchell. They’d been tracking him since he was 15, way before Mitchell went there. https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/how-tottenham-won-the-race-for-dele-alli-after-threeandahalf-years-a3123451.html Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  21. When has he ever deflected any blame. We keep getting this line trotted out, perhaps you could point me in the direction of an incident, interview or statement that proves he’s done this. Thanks Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  22. But that doesn’t fit with peoples preconceived prejudices that are set in stone. Tadić & Redmond are Shiite, they played Shiite . End of. They’d decided that before they got to the game, and unless they scored were never going to change their minds. Both had their best games of the season, not much of a bench mark I know, but both did enough to start ahead of JWP next time (as did Boufal). Not that I think any of the 3 are particularly good players at the moment, there’s nobody playing that system we’ve got that’s better. The one player who seems to get a free pass is Gabby who did absolutely **** all. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  23. He was better than Boufal yesterday Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  24. We should of had it at the end of the game, as most of the morons ****ed off before then Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  25. Personally I think England internationals should keep making runs, rather than give up because the ball isn’t passed to them. No wonder we’re easy to defend against. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
