  1. The remain camp are redefining " control of our borders " to mean we check everyone's passport upon entry. To me control of our borders means letting in who we want in the numbers we want. We can not control how many Welsh or Scottish passport holders come to work in England & nobody will claim we can, in fact you would be laughed at if you claimed we could. Equally you can't stop anyone with a Polish, Romanian or Greek passport doing the same. That is a simple fact, why most remain bods won't concede it, I really don't know.
  2. But there's negatives and then there's OTT nonsense bordering on lies . A few short months ago Cameron said if he didn't obtain substantial reform he'd vote to leave . Now he claims there will be meltdown if we leave . It's just not credible . What is credible is saying we're quite capable of going it alone , can do well , but will be better off in for xyz reasons. Robertson did say that in his opinion there will be job loses, but he didn't make nonsense claims around 3 million jobs . Just to get a leave supporter to admit you can't control your borders when you're in the Eu, is near on impossible , so it was refreshing to hear him saying " you can not control your borders " but this or that out weighs that particular negative . The other leave half bakes will not say " we can't control our borders in the EU" even though it is a blatant fact .
  3. Good to see Angus Robertson making a proper defense of the EU on QT last night. Admitted you cant control borders when a member, saying the leaflet was wrong ,saying the remain side is playing on people's fears. Basically saying there's a lot wrong with the EU , but on balance the positives outweigh the negatives and he'll campaign on the positives . What a difference from the stay or Domesday approach from most of the remain liars . One telling exchange was during the question about tax. An audiance member stated vat hit the poorest the hardest and should be abolished . The Labour plum said " hear hear" . Dan Hannan ( as impressive as ever) then pointed out that it's against EU law to abolish vat and the only way to do so would to be to leave. Dimble cut him off saying " not everything is about Europe . Now , people claim they want facts. That is a fact , yet a top presenter on the tax payer funded bbc , wouldn't let that fact be discussed. Shameful .
  4. You clearly didn't read it correctly and thought you were being clever.
  5. Why don't you read what was written before jumping to your pathetic conclusions . He sent it back to The Tories not the government , therefore they pay for it , not the tax payer. Doh
  6. Where does this " he clearly has talent " come from ? Anybody playing professional football " clearly has talent " , but if talent just involved a bit of ball control or being able to pass the ball Mr Woo would have played at the top level . Proper players show their talent when other people are trying to stop you . If you can't do that you're nothing more than a show pony or flat track bully .
  7. It's pretty hard to have a sensible debate on this until lefties understand the difference between tax avoidance & tax evasion.
  8. He had his chance with us and blew it. Not nearly good enough . He had a chance to redeem himself with Hull & blew it. Not good enough. He's now playing at his level and some are wetting themselves with excitement, why? They wouldn't want us to sign a championship player thats failed at 2 different premiership clubs would they?
  9. The government have played fast and loose with this and are trying to gerrymander the vote . In 1975 there was no electrol commission , but Cameron has been playing from Wilsons play book from day one . At least Wilson had the balls to put his name to his " piece of paper " . The electrol commission are producing a leaflet sent to everyone outlining certain facts. Each side get one mail shot each to put their interpretation on the facts and give their side , for the Governmemt to then produce this is pretty low . Then again did anyone ever think the Establishment would ever conduct themselves any different. I'm sure lefties would be up in arms if just outside the purdah period of a general election the Tories did this explaining " facts" around the Parliament 2015-2020 . To me an independent mail shot from the electrol commission & one from each side is reasonable and fair .
  10. How many pot bellied northerners go on holiday to Turkey ?
  11. And India , that has a space program . We also send aid to countries that send aid to other countries
  12. Modern football stadiums can generate great atmosphere, but it really depends on the opposition and the state of the game. The end of the Liverpool game was amazing ( although there were still people leaving early) but like other side's we seem to react to what's happening on the pitch rather than inspire the players by creating a great atmosphere. At home ourr " song sheet " is woeful , too many moaners and too many early leavers for my liking , but I'm sure people will point out that when people pay their money they can leave when they want. Away games are a lot better , but we're still pretty quiet unless we're winning .
  13. We are sending it to China
  14. He was shocking today & should pay for it by losing his place next week . When fit he seems to be an automatic choice . We look far better with long down the middle and by continuing with Pelle we don't get the best out of long . Long & Mane will tear Steven Taylor a new one next week , I'm sure he'd rather have a heading contest with Pelle than be hassled all day by Long . **** me , Huth & Morgan will have loved playing against that big lump today . His attitude stinks as well, always moaning at team mates and the ref . We need rid of him imo
  15. I wonder just how bad Pelle has to be to get dropped
  16. You got to laugh at how biased football supporters are . If the Simpson one hadn't of hit his hand it would have hit his body , **** me , there would have been uproar in here if we'd given away such a soft pen . The Huth one , **** me , if people think he moved his hand towards the ball , then he should be in nets . I don't really see what else he could have done. In both instances the arms were in a normal position and the ball hit them . Whether you like it or not , that's not a pen . Maybe once in a while a cock of a ref will give it , but some really are clutching at straws . The Vardy tackle , Steve Davis didn't make a big deal of it , maybe it could have been a yellow , but equally Vics could have been a red . It was only because of Classie's reaction to it , rather than Davo's that it appears worse. Perhaps Classie should have shown what a hard man he is when it matters instead of getting involved with handbags. We lost because they wanted it more , nothing to do with the ref . Look at the last 4/5 minutes they were holding it in the corner . Its one thing when The Arsenal of Henry , Pires ect or Fergies Utd do that , but Cedric, JWP ect were poncing about trying to win it back against Leicester FFS . Koeman blew it today OR should have played instead of Classie , Cuco should have played , He's let Pelle mince around like he's a big star , and why oh why does he think JWP can change anything .
  17. Too many airy fairy players . Cedric , Pelle , Tadic , JWP , Classie shocking . Big Vic is **** poor when he's on a yellow . Austin got no service at all , so how on earth can he get stick . Forster & VvD our best players .
  18. It wouldn't change the status of any of the present crop of EU nationals playing for us . The entitlement to continue living in another EU state is known as an 'executed right'. Article 70b of the Vienna convention states that the withdrawal from a treaty "does not affect any right, obligation or legal situation of the parties created through the execution of the treaty prior to its termination." So basically any right granted prior to us leaving the EU ( in this case the right of free movement ) is protected. Clearly, going forward it will be up to the British Government, with a mandate from the British people to decide on the criteria for granting future work permits . This is exactly what happens with Africians, Australians, ect at present .
  19. Two more interesting quotes , one from Jean Monnett a founding father of the EU; "Europe's nations should be guided towards the super state without their people understanding what is happening. This can be accomplished by successive steps, each disguised as having an economic purpose, but which will eventually and irreversibly lead to federation." And one from Ken Clarke " I look forward to the day when the Westminster parliament is just a council chamber in Europe"
  20. Who ****ing cares whether Adolf was a Christian or not. Nazi's didn't shout " God is great " as they turned on the gas or murdered countless others .
  21. **** me , what a crock of shiete . I remember Aston Villa with Ray Graydon , Brian Little , Chris Nicholl , Bruce Rioch playing in the 3rd division . It's debatable whether our side was even the best south coast side to ever play in the 3rd division . Macdougal, Bowyer , Mel Mechin , Dave Jones , & John Benson went into to play for top clubs after being in a decent Boscombe div 3 side . They also had Jimmy Gaberial and a certain twitchy headed twt , who could both play a bit
  22. She would have been in Germany , Austria, Italy , France , Greece & Denmark , but I guess that's one for the EU referendum thread .
  23. The problem with Islam isn't just the extreme version that kills and maims people , but the mainstream as well . Their treatment of women and gays is unacceptable in modern Britain , the fact they get their knickers in a twist over pictures of Mo , is unacceptable in modern Britain . There's is a backward religion that hasn't been through enlightenment yet . The way they a large portion of them want to live their daily lives is incompatible with a modern liberal society , but everybody ignores that elephant in the room .
  24. Anyway the SNP's policy is not Brexit triggers another vote. They're being very careful with their words . The only thing that will trigger another indi vote is when they think they'll win it . Ruth Davidson challenged Krankie to put a specific policy in their manifesto that in the event of Brexit they will demand another vote and she refused to do so. They know it's a vote loser . I suggest anyone who thinks Brexit will lead to the breakup of the U.K should watch a re run of QT from Dundee ( a yes city). The audience were pretty emphatic that they knew Brexit was a possibility when they voted and seemed to turn against the snp for trying to stir it up . I know one audience doesn't represent the Scottish people , but they did shock me . Ask yourself this ; The SNP claim the EU would have an indi Scotland at a heartbeat , why then, are they not for Brexit with the RUK going of into the wider world and them joining the failing EUSSR? Because they know full well they'll lose another indi vote , even in the event of Brexit.
