  1. All 3 will still want to go and I'd imagine all 3 will go . The only thing this may have done is stop the Morgan, victor , chambers ect following them.
  2. This. I wasn't even ****ed off he was left out, couldn't give a toss. Baines was rubbish, but not really bothered whether Shaw plays instead. Couldn't even get excited about one of our players playing in the opener. I was really looking forward to capping off a great season by watching our stars against the worlds best, but those disloyal ****s ruined that.
  3. Two Kooooeeemans, There's only two Koooooeeemans two Koooooeeemans there's only two kooooooeeeemans.
  4. Shall I add ITV to the list of saints haters?
  5. The best player on the park was as slow as me.
  6. Lol, funny how everyone who starts a sentence with " you know who Woy should play" always seems to end up recommending players from the team they support. If you canvassed every single premiership manager and player I doubt if one would play cork instead of Gerard. In fact I doubt if cork himself would pick himself over Gerard.
  7. **** me, pirlo is class. Could play the game smoking a cigar. He knew when to slow the game down, when to quicken it up. Its one thing English players lack, learning the tempo of the game. He's a ****ing magician, yet if he was English it would all be about his lack of work rate . We ruined people like Tony Currie, whereas the Europeans value them. I remember Currie ****ing all over the Germans at Wembley, but he didn't fit the English game. If pirlo was English he'd have been sat at home tonight. Do people still think Ashley Cole is finished, Baines isn't in the same league. Rooney and Wilshire WTF? There's the core of a decent side, but we need to grow up quick and learn the lessons.
  8. FFS, Stirling is a good player, he ended the season on fire. It's got nothing to do with SG being his mate, he's been picked on merit. I don't agree with Wellbeck for Adam, but I can see why. He'll get to Pirlo quicker and in a defensive safety first performance he'll offer better cover for the full back than Adam does.
  9. Lol at Chiles on ITV when talking about WBA's new appointment.
  10. I've seen this a few times, on here and FB. People are getting confused. Free agents stay with their existing clubs until 1st July , eg Sagna is an Arsenal player until 1st July before moving to City. As you rightly say Rickie is now a Liverpool player.
  11. What's taken the shine off it for me is the disloyal selfish twts trying to get away from our club. I doubt we'll see Adam or Luke in a Saints shirt again, so don't really care if he's warming the bench.
  12. Perhaps its because they didn't claim to be the only leader willing to take on the Murdoch press. What will Ed's next trick be, a selfie waving an N Power share certificate?
  13. Its Rogers I want to screw up, not the team. He loves himself and he is ultimately the guy unsettling our players. The press love him, but he blew it last year. Just needed to tighten up against Chelsea and accept a 0-0 and shut up shop against palace. He thought he could blow away José and then disrespected palace by trying for more goals. I hope he's found out next season.
  14. Happens all the time. Stevie Williams made totally the wrong move and Kevin Davies became a bit of a laughing stock at Blackburn. James BT never really did much and lawrie and Bally both messed up their managerial careers. I personally think Adam will struggle early doors, what with the WC and the nature of the transfer saga. Will he be a Henderson who turns it round or a Downing who sinks. He's got the ability to win them over, but a Suarez less Liverpool could do a man utd and seriously start poorly. They had a unique set of circumstances last season , no cl, a poor utd side and Chelsea having no decent forward. This season will be tougher for them. He could become a scapegoat.
  15. What about Eddie Howe? Had a text this morning from someone with Dorset FA connect ions, claiming he's on the short list. Can't see it myself, but will kick myself if it happens and I didn't post it.
  16. Does this mean that Labour people will finally stop banging on out how Ed stands up to the Murdoch press?
  17. So his barber was itk after all.
  18. Exactly, the only way we'd have ever fought off bids and players wanting to leave was to become a genuine top 4 club. The only way that would happen is spending stupid money and quite frankly I don't believe either KL or Marcus would have done so. Perhaps Nicola's project was based on a bill gates type figure taking over, but under the present owners it was never going to happen.
  19. Isn't loyalty a two way thing. Supporters didn't show much loyalty to Danny Fox , jos or Jermaine wright . What if lovren had played every game like he did spurs away, would supporters say " we need to honour his contract". Players are a disloyal bunch, the mugs are the fans who get fooled by the hand pumping on the heart and the kissing of the badge. Make no mistake had big clubs bid for Rickie and Adam last year , they'd have been off. The only loyalty in football comes from the supporters, remember that when our next hero bangs on about ending his career at SMS , or kisses the badge.
  20. So you think that Ashton went into work and decided to make something up. He could have made anything up, but decided to make something up about Southampton rather than a bigger club. Once he decided to make something up about Southampton, he didn't pick Luke or Adam but thought he'd make something up about Lovren. He then decided to make something up that can be instantly proved or denied, rather than add the caveat "I understand" .
  21. Get your head out of the sand. They would not claim an email had been sent, unless they had been told that one had been sent. It would have been reported that he wants away, as they have with Adam. I'm not saying that an email has been sent, but a credible source has told the paper that one has. It is a very specific allegation, not a general " he wants to move". If they were going to make things up, why not say Adam or Luke had sent the email? I would imagine the leak has come from lovrens people .
  22. Anyone who thinks Mancini will come to us is deluded . Unless we're going to pay way way above the odds, what on earth is the attraction for him? If we are going to throw around the type of money to tempt him, Poch would have stayed. He's left his job and people wet themselves. Just because Katie Price has dumped her latest husband , doesn't mean she's going to let me give her one does it?
  23. This web site had an " insider" saying tuchel was being looked at back in march. http://www.footballdirectnews.com/premier-league-news/43081-southampton-bundesliga-boss-in-frame.php I didn't know much about the guy, hence the search of Google where I found this. Lots of positives about him on the internet from respected people. Talk of spurs and Everton previously. Starting to prefer him to RK, although RK is a bigger name in the game. If we accept that Adam and Luke are gone and therefore don't need a big name to try and keep them, could be a good shout.
  24. Don't they also take into account where the money is coming from. Harder in the internet era, but I read somewhere that the book was closed on Rickie to Liverpool, not because of the amount bet because a few small bets came in from Merseyside initially. My mate in the press reckons a certain English international made a killing when twitchy went to spurs. If RK's nephew starts placing bets, we'll know.
  25. Im interested in their techniques. Saw an interview where Rickie says he knows where he's going to place it and then hits it believing the keeper will guess the right way. He claims that he hits it so hard that even when the keeper guesses right, he'll never save it. Whereas I heard matt on the radio saying he ran (well ambled) up to it, knowing where he'd put it but watching the keeper. He said that if the keeper moved towards where he was hitting it, he had the ability to "roll " or "open " his foot quickly to go the other way. That's why it sometimes appeared that the keeper would have saved it had he gone the right way ,as it was never right in the corner. It was only placed in the corner if the keeper waited until it was struck. If he waited then he had no chance and if he went early Matt stuck it the other way. Based on that I would say that Matt took a better penalty, but as the great Brian Clough used to say "I've yet to see a bad goal, they all count as 1". Interesting that both players at various times have said they love taking them as its a "free" shot at goal .
