I also spoke to Heather today, and I must say she gave great customer service and was very friendly. I explained that I was not trying to con anyone and get an adult in on a under 17 ticket. It was just that we wanted to all sit together, and the nipper had 2nd priority and the rest of us first priority. As you mentioned, she was happy with that explanation as I gave her the nipper involved S/T number .She then swapped the "points" over from the adult ticket to the Kid's one. She said that some adult season ticket holders were ordering under 17 tickets every time and that the % of under 17's attending away games far exceeded what can reasonably be expected. Therefore , they now have to check tickets before sending them out. Fair play to the Ticket office, they didn't need to do that and she certainly didn't conform to the "jobsworth" tag the ticket office get on here.

You are correct. I have just looked at my terms and conditions and it clearly states that any rights conected to the s/t are non transferable. Clearly priority to an away game is a right arising out of having a s/t. I never knew that, I guess not reading the t&c's is stupid. In light if that, I think the ticket office should be commended for bothering to contact people, rather than just cancelling the tickets.

I think you're being a bit harsh on the ticket office. I wouldn't call it penny pinching, its clearly an issue with adults getting in on kids tickets and depriving the home club of £37 ( in this case). Its not going to be just saints supporters doing this and is probably a league wide issue. Think of the posts that would be written on here if the boot was on the other foot. Liverpool adults getting into SMS on child tickets. I'm sure there would be loads of "robbing scousers " ect posts. What the club have been guilty of is not making it clear in its terms and conditions . When the sales are announced a simple" s/t holders who went to x amount of games can buy a ticket FOR THEMSELVES from y date" would make it clear and simple. Its obviously implied at the moment , but its a clear loophole they should have closed. As someone said earlier, the agreed to the sale and then took the money. They allowed s/t holders to purchase a ticket, it said nothing about it having to be on a like for like basis, or being non transferable. All they're guilty of is being naive, and not understanding football supporters will exploit any loophole.

Mayuka Going To Sochaux on Loan (Confirmed)

Does anybody really care what he's up to, or what his lasagne tastes like? -
That's a good point. I always take my nipper with me, so he has the same "points" as me. One of our crowd sometimes goes alone and although his nipper may have got a ticket (as he has quite a few away games) , he would have been sat alone. I was basically doing the guy a favour, but using my oldest boys number. Had it been made clear on the os I would have just said I can't. Its now cost my mate an adult ticket for his nipper. All im worried about is it affecting the whole order and messing up the "legit" tickets. It doesn't look like anyones had that particlary senerio.

Perhaps Im missing something, but if 100 kids get tickets using 100 adult s/t's how does that cost sfc a penny. Surely the only ones taking the hit are Liverpool and then only if they let an adult get in on that kids ticket. Are there limits on kids ticket numbers because if not, i can't see what difference it makes to sfc. Fairness , in that the kid may get a ticket before a genuine s/t holder with lower priority, but that happens with adult to adult tickets, and there's not anything I can see that stops it..Maybe they need a condition of sale that states away ticket must be for named s/t holder only. As they have no such condition, it would be interesting what the legal position is ,the way the away game allocation eligibility is worded at present.

I did it for wba, and they never called. Perhaps I should call for a refund
-
****. I did this for a mate of mine. Because our crowd had different priority than his nipper and my older lads not going , he asked me to get his nippers ticket on my 23 year olds number so we can sit together. I did question it with him, but he said he'd done it before. Guess I'll be receiving a phone call. Funny how my mate had an adult ticket for wba on my nippers number and it didn't affect the "points system". Looks like my mate is going to have to fork out an extra £37 for not using his nippers number. All I'm hoping is that the ticvkrt office miss it, bearing in mind their history of incompetence, you never know. Has anyone got tickets yet?

Your favourite Saints players that weren't popular?
Lord Duckhunter replied to Bad Wolf's topic in The Saints
I always rated jim magilton , but there were two chumps who sat near me who moaned about him constantly. Every time he passed the ball backwards or sideways, which admittedly was most of the time, one of them would shout loudly"forward magilton" . After a few months i told the bloke to stfu, and support the team. This resulted in a round of applause and a few "well said mate" from the surrounding seats. -
A serious transfer window review thread...
Lord Duckhunter replied to Unbelievable Jeff's topic in The Saints
Spot on If you read some on this forum, it's quite amazing how much better Sharp, Hammond, Chaplow have become since being "denied their chance". Same with Puncheon, all of a sudden he's a world beater with the pace we require. In fact with all these guys I'm amazed we finished below Reading in the NPC. Perhaps they would have all stepped up to the plate in the Premiership and become better than they were in the NPC. Anybody who believes Sharp was denied a move to a Premiership because we didn't want to help our rivals, is away with the fairies. Personally, I'd have paid him to go and play for another Premiership side, as that'll be one of the relegation spots filled. -

Jesus wept Bazza, I would have thought a football expert like yourself would have known there was no transfer window until 2002/3. Picking the "Keegan window" is like naming one direction as you favourite 60's band. -

Perhaps you could list the signings that constitute your "best ever" window. We can then compare them to the 3 this time ad see if you're right, because I can't remember a window where we signed 3 players that will go stright into the side and are internationals and champions league players. Add to that ,nobody of any substance left . I would be interested in this magical window of yours that was better. It must have been pretty good. -
Surely mp was using adkins players last season, and didn't sign one player. The time for comparisons will be half way through this season with his own signings involved.

If you were the guy who wrote OWTS on the left hand one, I was having a whizz next to you. LOL. I liked the look of the pitchers, one of the Norwich guys told me you pay for 4 pints, but there's over 5 in them. In my good beer guide which I carry around in my head, that and the ship and mitre in Liverpool are may favs. The pubs near sms aren't a patch on them.

All I did was suggest Graham Rix would make a good coach for the skate ladies team and I got banned from the skate section. They really were easy to wind up particularly this Norwegian skate (**** me, he must really have had a fishy smell). Could be a.half decent site, with some banter with other sides. But its a massive clique with the mods thinking they're johnny concrete.
-
Its a big clique. I got banned for taking the **** out of their skate mate and his love of chick football. Mods are also billy bullshiners, told other posters that id had numerous warnings, when in fact all I was warned about was posting on the skate section. What sort of saints website bans skate baiting?

I was in there as well, cracking pub (apart from all the yellow).Bloody nice Norwich blokes as well, proper ale. Shame I had the leave to go and watch that shiete.

Is anybody still looking for tickets, a mate of mine has 2 going as his car is ****ed and he cant afford to fix it and pay for the train. PM me or post details on here. I'm going on the **** tonight, so wont be on here from about 4pm.
-
It is the fairest system, but has one massive fault. Everybody ( including me ) is playing the "use my number" game. For example; I couldn't make wba, but because I promised my lad old Trafford this season, made sure that my number was used. Going to Norwich and Liverpool, so should be ok, but wanted to make 100% sure. By allowing my number to attend a match I couldn't, I stopped somebody else having that game on their record. My mate did the same number of aways as I did last year (9) but only 2 were on his number. He was away for city and couldn't get Arsenal, so never really caught up and kept using other guys numbers. It starts to become a bit of a closed shop , but the system drives people to want their numbers used regularly even if they dont go themselves. Personally I think a % of tickets should be kept back for general sale or maybe " linked" games. Eg went to Barnsley, you can have Man Utd priority. Even if its only a small amount, maybe 250 tickets , I think we need to let the occasional awaydayer have a ticket. Some people work and some have limited money but they're still passionate saints fans.

The very fact that he was playing tonight highlights what a disappointment he's been the past year. He really needs to step up to the plate and start putting in decent performances week in, week out.

His achievement was going through the championship in one season. The league 1 promotion was no great managerial feat imo, but getting us into the premier first go was . My opinion is that history will show that was a pivotal achievement that enabled us to push on. Had we not gone up, what would the ml trusts attitude towards the club have been, would NC have lost interest? We should all be grateful for that season and nigels massive contribution to it. That said, could you really see the top players we've signed this year attracted by the "homespun nigelisms" , we needed to move on and NC's ruthless ditching of Nigel will also be seen as the correct thing to do. My gut feeling is he'll become a decent league 1/ championsip manager, but his premiership days are behind him. Why on earth anyone would take pleasure from him struggling is beyond me.
