I haven't bothered with Lie to Me because of it's low Netflix rating. I have, however, watched every series of Community on Netflix, although I had to switch to Canadian Netflix to get it (thanks hola unblocker). It's a truly fantastic series, only let down by the presence of the eternally crap Chevy Chase. i also watched Better off Ted, which was great, but then turned out to have been cancelled, so I switched to Party Down, which was okay, but then turned out also to have been cancelled:? I am am now watching the fifth series of one of the funniest series out there, Archer.

I thought that was a pretty decent end of series show for GOT. It made me chuckle again when they had their old problem with epic scale. From above we saw several thousand, I assume CGI, horsemen converge on apparently a hundred thousand wildlings, then we got up close and it was about five men on horses against about 20 on foot. Reminiscent of the Blackwater problem, where about thirty men were trying to storm a citadel of thousands. Otherwise pretty good though, especially the unexpected fight between two heavyweights near the end. Bran's new friends were a mixed bag, one surprisingly kick-ass and the other a bit of an anticlimax. They changed Tyrion's bit, but not to any great detriment. i think the books introduced a shock "new" character at this point, but I don't think that would've fitted here at all.

Well I stated a few times that there was no way we'd see all the money from sales reinvested, so if that's true I'll be one of many proven wrong. Good news too as it would really show that selling players wasn't part of our policy and would only be done for the player's sake rather than for the money. no new manager's going to please everybody, but most of us were a bit tepid about the appointment of MP, so we'll surely give whoever they choose the benefit of the doubt.

Very good episode, non-stop action from start to finish. very glad they didn't cut it short to shoe-horn in the other bloke who should turn up next week, there wouldn't have been time to do both bits properly. Looking at next weeks promo, it looks like they're going to cover a lot of different story threads: Arya, Bran, Tyrion + family, Jon and Dany all in one episode.

Kevin Turvey, the dangerous brothers, (p)Rick, Richie (rich and Richard), Alan B'stard, Flashheart, all those comic strip characters, even Drop Dead Fred, he really was certainly the most quotable comedian/comic actor for my generation. His material probably made up about 70% of playground talk when I was at school. Massively influential and comedy wouldn't have been the same without him. RIP

Have never found it a problem or a big deal.

Morgan Called Up for France WC Squad (Official)
norwaysaint replied to St Chalet's topic in The Saints
Lambert, Ox, Lallana and Morgan all were all on the pitch together for saints 21st August 2010 for 9 minutes against Leyton Orient. That was the first time, they all started in the 3-2 loss to Carlisle that November. Pretty good scalp for Carlisle in retrospect. -
Anyone here drive one? What do you think of them? they're beautiful looking cars and are now the most popular new car in the county I live in. Never thought electric cars would become so attractive so soon. Wondering whether I should be saving the pennies to get one some day, but my main problem apart from the price is that I often drive to my cabin, which is six hours away and doesn't have electricity, so I'd still need to own a decent petrol car. are there many drivers of electric cars on here?

It's easily forgotten that in their first season with us, Ramirez outperformed JRod, getting more goals and assists per game. The next season, JRod became a regular starter and came on in leaps and bounds, Gaston never got a run in the team. We can speculate as to why he didn't, but if we are to judge on actual performance in the team, he hasn't been bad and as said, when they both played, his stats were better than JRod. Hardly seems fair to judge him for the games he wasn't picked for.

Wow, looking at the first page I see that the most positive comment was made by...Alpine?

How odd... So who is saintrichmond really then? Clearly either schizophrenia or multi log-in **** up at play there.

Other clubs views on whats happening at saints?
norwaysaint replied to doddisalegend's topic in The Saints
The only real nonsense I saw on there was the quotes from a supposedly "in the know" saints fan. It was clearly just somebody stating the rumours he'd heard as fact, a bit like people on here do. Most of it was either disappointed to see the big clubs sucking up the best players, or disliked us because too many of our fans are dicks, which is just what many of our fans say about them, so fair enough. -
Shouldn't be bitter about him leaving, we sack managers pretty easily, so he could hardly expect loyalty the other way round. He could easily have turned spurs down, then been sacked in a year if things went badly or the owner had another manager lined up that she preferred, happens all the time.

The old SWF myth being that there would be an exodus of players and staff if Cortese went?
-
madness, a current England international, team captain, player of the year, currently one of the most hyped English players,at the prime of his career and on a long contract for less than 20 million. That'll be a breeze to replace at that price won't it? This is not good value for us. Not least because of the continuing message it sends to the rest of the players.
-
I wonder if he had a clause allowing him to leave cheaply if Liverpool came in for him? Would've seemed unlikely at the time, but could have been on his mind as a red. I'm sure he'd love to finish his career at Anfield and we can all respect that.
-
Yep, we all know how disastrously that ended, ****ing promotion to the premier league and our best finish in the PL ever. What a spiv ****!

you do know saints played in Europe about ten years ago don't you? With a team arguably no better than, maybe not as good as, we have now? CL is too big an expectation, but Europe is exactly the sort of aim mid table teams should have. Moronic indeed, Jamie.

12 Managers in the last ten years, something is wrong!
norwaysaint replied to Mr X's topic in The Saints
As I pointed out yesterday, no manager has completed two seasons at saints since Dave Jones in 1999. We are an incredibly unstable club as a rule, surely more so than most. -
Correct, we have to go all the way back to Chris Nicholl to manage three. i suppose losing MP after a season and a half shouldn't shock us too much.
-
Who was the last saints manager to complete two whole consecutive seasons at the club? answer here in white: Dave Jones 97/98 and 98/99

It seems to have taken one news report, and it's still only that one report repeated over, containing no quotes from any of the supposedly involved parties, to turn most of the posters on this forum into Alpine Saint clones. There's still been absolutely no solid reason to believe he's moving to spurs as far as I can see. from this one report saying he's in advanced talks, it's been decided he's definitely off, it was decided ages ago, the board are all on holiday or just sitting around doing nothing, loads of stuff about KL's intentions. It's all getting a bit silly, perhaps wait for one single person involved in this to actually make a comment before making any more OTT statements. Let's remember that we don't actually know what's happening yet. He may have heard them out and told them he wanted to stay, he may not even be in talks at all. It's been less than a day.
-
Haven't looked at anything sine this morning. Is there some solid reasonably to beileve MP is definitely off? Looking through the last couple of pages i can't see it. Is it just the article saying he's in talks or is there more?
