Agreed, the ones at the rear are oval shaped and there are two long 'blades'. However, if you've seen my daughter play football you'd think that 'odd' looking boots may suit her!!
-
Many thanks for all the help guys. Interesting the negative views on blades so I'm favouring moulded studs. However there does not appear to be many about (on the web). Think I may still go for these: http://www.jjbsports.com/nike-tiempo-natural-iii-fg-(junior)-football-boots/football-boots/shop/fcp-product/2354

I think they will also be used for hockey. Have to get her shin pads also.

Thanks Dog, but £65 is a bit steep although Mrs Sums would happily pay that for my daughters bloody tap shoes. Of course if I was buying for a boy I'd have no problem paying £65. I saw these: http://www.jjbsports.com/nike-tiempo-natural-iii-fg-(junior)/football-boots/shop/fcp-product/2354 Nice to see you can still get plain old black boots. Some of the colours/designs are hideous!

My daughter will be starting secondary school in September and on the long list of items she needs to get are football boots. Of course she's more into dancing than football (although she sometimes accompanies me to SMS, sorry Stu/Dave) but we will obviously have to get her some. The thing is it's years since I bought a pair of footie boots and looking on the web there are clearly two types HG (hard ground) which I assume will be 'blades' and SG (soft ground) which I assume will be full studs. We don't want to be buying two pairs so which should I go for, blades or studs?

Pics of a training ground bust-up ala Berkovic / Hartson would be nice.

I think Harding will be behind Dickson for most of the season!

And last year many in the private sector did take action. They voluntarirly took pay cuts / reduced hours to save their jobs. Now the public sector are thretened with a pay freeze everyone is talking about strikes. Perhaps the unions should be offering to take pay cuts to protect jobs.

Yeah, let's start rioting, that'll help!!

Totally agree with this post. -
I'd like to see DBP/SRS doing that giant ball dribble into the goal at half-time. I'd like to see which is bigger, his head or the ball !!!

Pre-season Friendly vs. FC Sochaux-Montbéliard - 17th July
iansums replied to Zurichsaint's topic in The Saints
As I said, it wouldn't bother me. I've been to the last couple of TBM games. It's not a great deal of fun watching us being outclassed by a top European team and a little embarassing having the trophy presented in a near empty stadium. Personally I don't think any 'memorial' trophy is a good idea. There are better ways to recognise TB IMO. -

Wouldn't bother me if they dropped it. Would like to know if there will be a home game on 24/7 though. -

I wish Dave/Stu 'couldn't be arsed', the guy is obsessed. To say NC is 'just an employee' is nonsense. -
No, and you can't pay by installments either.

Former Saints who could/should manage England fred...
iansums replied to SaintRobbie's topic in The Saints
Waddle took a pop at the FA but they are powerless to do anything about it. All the power is now with the PL and they don't give two hoots about England. We need to limit the number of foreign players and the number of games for a start. The PL won't agree to that. -

Redknapp, with all his dodgy dealings, the press would have a field day. I think Hodgson is the only suitable candidate. -

Saw Kenny Samson on Sky Sports last night. He was asked: Q. "Should Capello go?" A. "Yes, I would like to see an English manager" Q. "Who?" A. "Erm, well, yes, erm................................." It's all very well blaming Capello, but how about blaming the players? -
A £1000 TV will cost you an extra £25. No big deal, but will raise a lot of money. This is a good move and brings us in line with the rest of the EU.

Unlike many on here I was quite pleased when the membership was stopped last year. I will be disappointed if it is re-introduced as I'm dispappointed by the £3 booking fee. However I won't be whinging and throwing my toys out the pram,I'll just accept it.

Typical lefties. If someone comes out with less than favourable comments about the unions then they are 'nazis', brilliant.

Well it looks like Green could be dropped in favour of James: http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/jun/18/world-cup-2010-david-james-goalkeeper I have to say once this World Cup is out of the way I would make Joe Hart the No. 1.
