  1. Didn't somebody say it will be streamed live on the FA website? http://falive.octopusmt.com/
  2. Or, more likely, that Chainrai & Kushnir have been explaining the many benefits of owning a club like Pompey to the next lot, but nobody told Lampitt. "Need to know, Dave"
  3. There really are only so many times you can laugh at seeing a caravan being destroyed. Setting the one next door alight was funny at the time, though.
  4. In the cold light of day, IMO a point at Posh is not a bad result, playing without Lallana & Schneiderlin, arguably our 2 best players when not spending too much time in the treatment room. I've just had a quick look forward, and after the Carlisle game, the pessimists will have a tough month, with 4 out of 5 games away. But they are against Rochdale, Hartlepool, Walsall & Colchester. On-form Saints could well get 10 points out of that, but the pragmatist in me says we'll get around 7. I expect us to beat Carlisle and Swindon (at last!) at home. After that, we have 7 home games and 6 away. That's a better run-in. I genuinely believe Saints will get at least 86 points. That will be enough for automatic promotion, but whether it's enough to catch Brighton, time will tell. But it will be a fun run-in. After Brighton away we have the easiest run-in, with both Bristol Rovers and Walsall (both currently in the bottom 3) at home, and Hartlepool away. It's going to be good fun, and I'm looking forward to it, as long as Saints don't screw it up. I don't think we will.
  5. Thanks. We don't very often get the praise we deserve on here
  6. I must admit, I find the judgement (or award, or decision, or whatever it is) very confusing. I find it hard to reconcile: "The IFO operates a system of non-binding arbitration." with "the adjudication of the IFO is final and there is no right of appeal against IFO findings." and: "The IFO must make clear at the outset that he has received full cooperation from ... Southampton FC." with "Despite a rigorous investigation, the IFO has been unable to clarify fully what has been going on." and, more importantly: "the IFO recognises Southampton FC’s legal right to refuse to sell a ticket without having to give an explanation" with "The Club ... should now end the restriction and reinstate the complainant as a season ticket holder" but I suppose that's what you get if you ask a history professor, with no experience of running a football club, for his opinion.
  7. True. Had 1-2 written all over it
  8. So it's back to the old 3-1 win away then
  9. It's for 3G (cellular). You need an active data SIM for wherever you are, or you can select roaming, but that's bloody expensive in my experience.
  10. Another one here who's happy with Fonte wearing the band
  11. You could try uninstalling all the Vodafone bloatware, and use an independent program to manage the connections. You'll need to install drivers and possibly firmware upgrade for the dongle (Huawei?). I used a little program called mdma to manage the connections. Youl also need to disable autoplay for the dongle, or it will try to re-install the Vodafone stuff every time you plug it in. I did this a couple of years ago with a Vodafone Huawei E272, and was able to put different data sims in for different countries as required. Also lets you switch between 2G, 2.5G and 3G as required depending on availaility of service when you are travelling. I don't use it anymore, as I've got an ericsson 3G card built in to the laptop now. Great piece of kit, just stick a sim in (any sim enabled for the region) and away you go.
  12. Not really. Nobody can catch us now with games in hand, and we can move up if we win our game in hand. Favours are always welcome, but we don't need them
  13. The SaintsPlayer live Solent commentary is pretty good - rarely interrupted. And live score updates from all league games and live table updates. Highlights are a bit of a problem if you have bandwith issues - a bit stop start. I'm still trying to work out how to cache them to HDD. And you get access to live commentary of most games. I've had live Colchester Peterborough commentary in the background in my study tonight. Colchester won 2-1 Good result for us. CMS didn't set the game alight, from what I heard. Well worth 34 quid a year (and it does give you loads more to whinge about when it goes breasts-up)
  14. So we can start a "We would be above Brighton by now if we'd signed Charlie Austin" one?
  15. If that **** Holloway had said something similar, he could have saved Blackpool 25 Grand
  16. Not with our servers it isn't
  17. If their forum's as reliable as ours, that means he's halfway down the M3 as we speak, then.
  18. I think these are criminal charges against the individuals, not civil against the company. So technically it's the CPS, not HMRC. But I could be wrong.
  19. The game's live on the satellite HD sports channel here. Should have Terry Paine doing the hosting, so looking forward to hearing his comments.
  20. Sorry Huntingdon - senile moment. I only remembered Wimbledon at Selhurst.
  21. If you were down in South London anyway, why didn't you go and watch the Saints?
  22. On the bright side, at least we won't have to go there next season. And apart from obviously missing Lallana, we have no captain to organise & motivate when Hammond's out. You can't skipper a side from the goalmouth.
  23. Sky sources have confirmed that Avram Grant will be sacked by West Ham before the end of this weekend, whatever the result against Arsenal. Oh wait, that was last Saturday.
  24. I bet your wife's glad you didn't read it at home.
  25. Matt saved us time & time again, and got a ticket (and a couple of extras). His mates didn't & didn't. No big deal.
