Did you have a point?

We did used to be famous once. We did. We did. We did. We did. We did.

They could bring the issue to a head immediately by inviting the bent old git to personally attend a meeting in New York to review their ongoing sponsorship.

Not yet. They can't afford the insurance.

Oh for gawds sake they're not still harping on about the free stadium. Everybody knows it was paid for in full with gold bars made from melted teeth of holocaust victims.

It was called a "plumber's crack" in my day

SA is a pretty big place. I wouldn't recommend driving between centres. Flying is fairly cheap, especially between the major cities. I would fly and hire a car at each location. Plenty of car hire and all the big operators are there. There is very little to see on the garden route, I wouldn't bother. It's nearly 800 km from CT to Port Elizabeth. There are more than enough wine tours around CT at Constantia and Stellenbosch if that's what floats your boat. Kruger park is also huge and sometimes you can go a long time without seeing much of interest. There are other alternatives and you could consider Pilanesberg reserve that is right next to Sun City. A good place to spend a few days. I prefer Pilanesberg over Kruger. There's some historical stuff around Jo'burg and Pretoria. The Apartheid museum and the cradle of mankind are interesting.

You do realise that you're actually typing this, and it's not just a wandering daydream, don't you.

Luke Shaw suffers double leg fracture against PSV

But the club would only incur a loss if it paid his wages while he is medically unfit. No wages no loss. My guess would be his only contractual loss would be play-related bonuses. -
I used to have German colleagues lke that.

All the news I saw was about the leader of Her Majesty's opposition refusing to sing the National Anthem at an official function. Maybe I need to poke around a bit deeper to find the positive stuff about Jeremy.

Don't all modems get re-booted once a day by the ISP to change your IP, unless you pay the extra for a static IP address?

Nigel Adkins Interview (Saints YouTube channel, Monday)

The reason they used gravel is because you have to put proper gulleys and drains in under tarmac. Drains aren't cheap, as they found out after they laid their new pitches. They'll discover the problem when the winter rain comes. Then they'll blame the contractor. Again.

That's an impressive bit of extrapolation there, and not what I see at all. I'm not convinced that middle England sees Syriza as a role model. I think Corbyn won because the "middle ground" couldn't get their act together and put up a candidate to run against him. One single candidate. The labour party organisation is still a mess, far too many vested interests.

I still can't work out how we do so well in the league with so many **** players

Only 250,000 people voted for him. I doubt that will swing the pendulum very far. It's about the same as the Southsea Common branch of the Portsmouth supporter's club.

Is J Block still there? I can't remember what I paid back in '76. About tuppence a month I think it was.

They always said it was a seven fingered sum.

I think you'll find the Unions are his principals now.

But it was negative equity in the residential property markets that underpinned the last global financial meltdown, wasn't it?

How will a government-engineered collapse in property prices be a good thing?

Won't they be voting in line with their "principles". I thought that was what New Old Labour was founded on.
