  1. Nineteen Canteen.
  2. Caveat: I didn't watch the game. I don't know what we did tactically. The only reports I've seen were from a woman on Sky Sports who sounded confused and posts on here.
  3. No, no, no. That's a very high-level description. It's much more nuanced and fluid than that. This is big-boy ****. PhD level.
  4. There was only one catch and that was Catch-22, which specified that a concern for one's safety in the face of dangers that were real and immediate was the process of a rational mind. Orr was crazy and could be grounded. All he had to do was ask; and as soon as he did, he would no longer be crazy and would have to fly more missions. Orr would be crazy to fly more missions and sane if he didn't, but if he was sane he had to fly them. If he flew them he was crazy and didn't have to; but if he didn't want to he was sane and had to. Yossarian was moved very deeply by the absolute simplicity of this clause of Catch-22 and let out a respectful whistle.
  5. Has she been prescribed something iffy? Maybe we are trying to show Fritz that she's mental. You can't negotiate with a mentalist.
  6. He was an inverted non-latitudinal trequartista with a floating mandate and semi-rigid DM/WM duties.
  7. Yeah, Gunn looks good to me from the little I've seen.
  8. And now he's got the key pass to vindicate that view!
  9. We won the shootout, scoring 4 out of 5. Pretty churlish to criticise him for that, even if the central tenet is valid.
  10. "Let's Gao ****ing Mental!"
  11. I do a cracking Kim Jong Il.
  12. Nice key pass there.
  13. I don't want him to say that but as that appears to be the reality I question the extent to which I want to prop up a state of affairs which I find depressing, disingenuous (on the part of Kat and her glove puppets) and far removed from the notion of a community football club. You could say that this notion is out of step with the modern game, and to some extent it is, but clubs do manage to engage with their support and cultivate a sense of togetherness. We are cultivating a sense of alienation. I don't see why I should give a dime to someone who is only here to boost their persona on the other side of the world. At least with the likes of Lowe and the local businessmen who bookended his tenure, their motives were not so abstracted from what the club is fundamentally for.
  14. Abso-ruddy-exactly.
  15. Why do you mention Rees-Mogg, out of interest? He is evidently conservative (in the literal sense as well as politically), somewhat anachronistic and of a fairly dogmatic economic persuasion but as far as I know he has never debased himself in the way that Hopkins, Robinson, Trump etc. have.
  16. I expect wholesale changes as that's what pretty much everyone does now in this farcical competition. Due to the upheaval, no one will play that well and it'll be back to the usual suspects on Sunday.
  17. I think, sooner or later we are Gaoing down with Gao. There has been not one single indication since the takeover that he has any clue whatsoever about what to do with the club, no plan other than creating some photo ops in China and no money to invest. The fact that he has allowed Kat to dictate the status quo remains in place tells you all you need to know about his vision and capability. When we do go down, with the current regime in charge, we are going to be fecked a la Rupert's second coming, where everything will be for sale to the highest bidder. It's time for a protest. #GaoAway! Who's in?
  18. Thank **** for Wikipedia, eh? Although it does class wide midfielders as wingers.

    Harry Maguire

Got to stitch Vectis up as well in the interests of balance?
  20. Mike Dean special but was a foul.
  21. Smart linesman there. We want V A R, say we want V A R.
  22. We just have to grin and bear it. Although we are polar opposites to how we used to be. I'm getting pretty pizzled off with it and you do need to wonder if Gao is spectacled enough to do something.
  23. Although, for clarity, Redmond plays as a WM, AM(RLC), AP and WINGER all at the same time due to his mastery of the position.
