Why do people think Gorkks was a preferred target? He obviously wasn't. We had a deal done but decided not to sign him. Warnock said so. Gorkks apparently said so. I think we will beat Derby and Reading. I would happily take 4 points from the home games. As you say, 8 points would be a very good return, given that it is a relatively tough run of games and would probably still see us top. I would like to beat Palace but I imagine we will put out a second string that may include the likes of Jaidi and Barnard recoeperating from injury so much may depend on the strength of the Palace team fielded.

But assuming that no one performs to the average second place level this season other than the team which wins the league is stupid. If a team gets slightly more than the average third place level it is a reasonable expectation that two teams will finish above them - they might not, but they probably will. Your logic is flawed.
