That is a nasty run of fixtures. But if we can scrape 5 or 6 points from them (and 4 from the next 2) we'll emerge with 13 or 14 points from our first 13 matches, having played all of the big 6. It'll be all smooth sailing after that!

Those slagging off Cedric for the goal ignore that it was a world class strike. It's not like he made a terrible back pass that let a player run in one on one with the goalie, or some other blunder. And some of his crosses into the box were very good. Certainly much better than he usually does. He played ok, and is a good back up/alternative to Valery.

Yes, the 4-1 was awful, but we beat them twice that season (once under Wigley in the league, and knocked them out of the cup under Saggy). So we actually did better against them during that terrible season than against most other teams.

Exactly this. Some people need to grow a pair. I couldn't name one current player from their Mickey Mouse club. We are rightfully several classes above them, in all aspects (squad, manager, stadium). I 4-1 can't wait for us to give those minnows a jolly good rogering.
