  1. You could ask over here: https://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?60690-Summer-Transfer-Window-2019#.XTkBCpNKjOQ
  2. In fairness, perhaps the main reason was playing alongside Mane, which would improve most players. Not to belittle Koeman, who did great for us overall.
  3. One word mate .... Ralph. Cheer up. When he leaves, then feel free to be pessimistic again.
  4. And if my auntie had balls she'd be my uncle.
  5. There's something seriously wrong that twat is being censored out. Even Americans would be embarrassed by that ****ing overkill.
  6. Even if we finish 8th and get to a cup final?
  7. Maybe. But we have Ralph.
  8. Imagine how much worse they'd be if they didn't practice Yoga and Meditation!
  9. In a nutshell, yes. Which is why it's imperative that we never make another record signing.
  10. Six if you include the Donkey. No, you're right, five strikers.
  11. Unless he has a hissy fit if Saints turn down a derisory offer from a big club.
  12. People have been quoting him (positively), so I clicked "view post"!
  13. If you promise to stop posting irritating animated gifs I'll take you off my ignore list.
  14. Top bloke, excellent player. 22 goals in 42 England appearances says it all. A Crouch type player is what we've been missing for several seasons now.
  15. And those two had ability, so there was at least a chance of them being decent for us. On the other hand everyone knew how awful the Donkey was before we even signed him. Everyone except of course Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and the Clown. So pound for pound he has to be the worst ever signing.
  16. In fairness he did have an operation on it, so I suspect it was real. I don't mind him moving on after 2 years if that was the agreement he had with the club (which it appears to be). But that was with the tacit understanding that he'd give 2 good years of service to Saints. But he didn't. He missed a large chunk due to the injury, while receiving wages and treatment by the club. So I don't think it's unreasonable to repay that and give one more (hopefully injury-fee) year for us before moving on (at presumably a much higher price if he performs well next season).
  17. Maybe it's something to do with the recent forum upgrade?
  18. I think great goals by players who rarely score are all flukes by definition! In stark contrast to the many beauties by MLT.
  19. You're right, he's not (yet) a brilliant player. But on his day he is brilliant, which I think is the point. Unfortunately "on his day" is extremely rare.
  20. Donald thinks this is a 50 over match. 21 fours and 5 sixes already! Making a statement about being dropped in place of Soames?
  21. Holland 122 n.o. Donald 157 n.o. off 126 balls
  22. That was then. After the Clown and Sparky fiascos (and near disastrous relegations) it appears the owner and board now realise how priceless a quality manager is. They seem to be doing everything to make Ralph happy, and I wouldn't be surprised if that includes big bonuses. Money well spent (unlike the litany of disastrous Reed purchases and player contracts).
  23. No, he belongs to the "Inexplicable Saint legends who were actually rubbish" thread.
  24. They should use head to head as the first tie breaker. That would avoid a lot of the NRR shenanigans.
